  1. Sprinkle them with yellw dye, and cheese flavouring, Presto, you just made Twisties!
  2. That will not be tapered. May need to go up next nearest NPT tap size, and re-tap, and fit corresponding plug.
  3. Sold mount diffs are fine. The rubber mounts that factory fit are purely to reduce NVH The stupid rubber band was an afterthought, as the front rubber mount will tear, due to torque reaction Rear bar, being spring steel, will fatigue, sually at the stud holes in centre. AZC se a CNC item, as a replacement for the crack prone rear mount bar. Prior to AZC many rally prepped cars ftted fabricated bracing between diff studs and body hangers.
  4. You'll need a bell from a H20 engined Urvan/E20. It will be longer than the four speed from the SP311, the stock bx mount wont line up with the B ext housing, ver the X frame, needs a bit of fiddling about. Have seen stock mount metal bracket with rubber sandwiched wteel sed, also the frward bottom f X frame, holesaw drilled out from under side, two bits of 1" diam tube welded in, and two early holden radiator mounts between gearbox ears and top of X frame. If you need a flange to flange slip jointed tailshaft, I have a couple spare. Oh, and do a proper count of the box, i reckon its a Rally version of the Option boxes, they were used in the endurance event/Safari rally type cars !
  5. Your moustache bar ( rear hanger) is correct. You,ll need to remake your ally front mount, with more ffset. Shame you have'nt got a cruddy old mount you can coppy.
  6. They ran wwide into a corner, and fell off the road, into a ditch.Unfortuneatley there was a newish exensive Porsche, in the same bit of ditch. Said Porsche owner was/s/has threatened legal action. Not sure of outcome, f any, and, the Legacy guys did say they were going to take a couple years breakk from motorsport..
  7. Rollover, on Stage 12, Jon and Gina are fine. He thinks is too damaged under the front.
  8. If its out of one of those, it will have a pair of approx 4mm wide wpacers in there, as Nissan deemed that they did not need full complement of plates. The Nissan plares are 1.9 mm thick The plates in the Isuzu Rodeo utes are 2.0 mm thick ( or near to) by using those you slightly increase your breakaway pre-load pressure, without having to overtighten the Belleville ( cup) springs BTW all the diffs are made by Fuji Heavy Industries ( Subaru owner)
  9. Slight off at Targa Tas 2018
  10. My old car, bit lighter now, and a fair bit more power, after Jimmy Flett gave it a tickle under its nuts.
  11. When were they first sold, to the public? Dont get concerned as to the pedantics of where.
  12. Thats a jolly good one,,,, but he shoulda been out on the ripple strip!
  13. Forget the blue/red, that was just some US based privateer, that every Tom, Dick and Harry now copies. I reckon what you have done is very good, and bearing in mind it doesn't really kick off until late next year, 2019, if you push it to as many sites, and pages, as possible, to get the wider car enthusiast community, to realise that the Z car will soon be 50 years old, will hopefully focus more attention on the Japanese classic cars. A number of years back, one of the Aus Z clubs did a small run of similar high quality badges, to commemorate their existence, a few of these very high quality badges were put on some cars, but the majority were just put into a draw or boxes of memorabilia. You look at a lot of the Brit/auK cars at car shows, and they proudly wear their tin badges!
  14. The ignition switch assy, behind the key/barrell, due to the current loads, will break down, and the contacts carbon up, causing resistance, and intermittent Acc/On/On/Start problems Start there, you can get them, new, from Nissan, or, I should have a spare new unit, f you are in the area
  15. Hmmmm Who grabbed that one???
  16. If you know what you want, and, based on a sonic test, and their advice as to what you can bore it to, All work is done in-house, jack Bros in Smallwood St Underwood. For specific crankshaft work and full rotational assembly machining, and balancing, CrankShaft Engineering, in Browns Plains, is the place in SEQld that other shops use But you do need to specify what you want.
  17. All 71 B type ( except from R30 Skylines, they are the short version of a 71B) will fit into a Z Ie Bluebird, Skyline, 240K, 280ZX, the more fun box is the 260Z five speed, as the first two gears were slightly close, in ratio, than other regular 71B units
  18. While in the upside down prep phase, add another ear to each side, behing existing ears of the box hangers, that way you can more easily fit a C type gearbox, at later stage. The C type boxes have their underside crossmember mount set 30mm to rear, of the B type boxes.
  19. What he said Front lower crossmember angles on the sides look deeper than 240Z radiator lower support Once its been given a cleanup, more may possibly come to light Have seen plenty of cut'n'shuts, bare metal shows them up.
  20. Well, you have a 260Z shell there. Best to remove everything, then send it off for blasting ( sand, soda) or acid dipping
  21. There are plenty of aftermarket ones. White plastic though. I have a few left from when I buiot a Clubman
  22. For that weight, and the offset, contact Grant Watson from ProSport. He's in the Salusbury area, behind the Fulcrum suspension place These are custom three piece rims, he does them for quite a few racers.
  23. You dont have power steering in your 240/260Z?there are some on this site, that found the need for power steering,,,,
  24. Very secret squirrel stuff!!! Try Stew Wilkins, or Lou Mondello. I sold all my stock of 71A parts some 6 months ago, into the Roadster/Fairlady community,
  25. we really really need a big "LIKE" button,,,,,
