  1. What I find interesting, there are some people downloading files with a size of zero expecting to see something?
  2. Reminds me of a Lancia Delta Intergrale in a way. Just needs a glass rear clip on!
  3. Go to basics.... Engine needs three things to run, fuel, air and spark. If you can verify its getting all three without doubt, it has to run. Sounds like there aint no fuel..mechanical or electric fuel pump? Remove the fuel "in" hose and make sure fuel is coming out while cranking.
  4. Optional close ratio gearbox with a reversed shift pattern ie: 1st is where 2nd normally is.
  5. Awesome end result! Always loved a zed in white.
  6. I could imagine, if you were close enough, you'd hear it saying over and over "please kill me...please kill me"
  7. Great to hear... you've been zed-less for far too long.
  8. Might take a couple of years to show up, even quicker if its always wet / damp. As long as you don't scratch up the zinc coating too much, zinc is fine.
  9. I've got a strange length tail shaft that is in between a 2 seater and a +2; looks to be a Datsun thing. You are welcome to that one if you want.
  10. Don't go to a too high comp ratio unless you are planning to run some exotic race fuel; keep it at a realistic level and run PULP 98 or more if you have access to it. Also, with a bigger cam, think of better valve springs, lash pads etc etc..
  11. To test I place a cable tie around the shock shaft and go for a drive; that'll show you its highest amount of travel. You could remove some of the bump stop to gain a tad more travel.
  12. Tai, you are better off finding an auto sandwich plate as it has the removable lower half which makes it easier to inspect if anything goes wrong. Plus it opens up the other 50% of plates!
  13. Oh, in that case don't worry about that! Have you checked the fuel pump diaphragm?
  14. Might be good to get some much needed zed attendance there.
  15. I had a similar problem on the freeway or after sustained high rpm's; car would lose power then after backing off, would sort of go back to normal. Found out it was the float levels were way down. Carbies were running out of fuel and fuel pump could'nt keep up. Check your first before removing fuel tank as its easier compared to that.
  16. With around $5k I got my setup complete with a few good second hand parts mixed in like fuel pump and surge tank.
  17. Most likely will be there! Tis always a great event!
  18. What I used to do as what I believe if you are lpaying with brakes, if you not sure what you're doing, leave it to the proffesionals! I used to take my calipers to my local "Better Brakes" and let them rebuild them. WHen you get them back, the are spotless, look great and ready to bolt on and you know all the correct parts are in it. Cost is a bit more but for the time and effort, its worth it.
  19. By boss used Nitto's (NT01?) on his Renault R26 and found them very good on the track but didn't last very long; did about 2 or 3 track days and a MSCA event before needing replacement. He's used teh Achilles S02? with some good results on a Fiat 500 Arbath with a good driver behind the wheel and he gave them a good review (Luke Youlden from memory) and now the R26 has Bridgestone RE55's.
  20. That spring is in there; it's just sandwiched between the two metal parts. That provides the locking click. Only issue mine had was the screw length thing...found that out after I pulled my door apart!
  21. Yes it is. I just played with my right hand side door lock / catch mechanism recently as it wouldn't lock properly. Found out the the screws that hold the main part in are different in length so if you place the wrong one in, it interferes with the mechanism.
  22. Roberto's correct.. Mounting brackets on 240's are straight across and 260's are diagonal. If you swap mounting brackets, you'll be fine. The side of the bumpers that wrap around have the same mounts...and its 6 bolts!
  23. Not sure if you have included a red roof lining, but I do have one if anyone is interested. Excuse the hijack
