  1. This is the one I have...
  2. Not sure if you have included a red roof lining, but I do have one if anyone is interested. Excuse the hijack
  3. I'm sure I have a complete mechanism; I'll have a peek tomorrow for you
  4. A Brown Davis cage was fitted to my 240 at a cost of around $1400 with extra intrusion bars but this was many years ago (and they kindly dented the roof from the inside out exactly above the main hoop bends). Price may have gone up a tad by now.
  5. Craig, get the ones that are desinged for the rings; ie overlap the nose cone. You then can install rivnuts in the cone and make sure they are held down real tight. When I scratch up some funds, I would like to get a set!
  6. I was thinking the Rev was going to spot it.
  7. With regular vs manderl bends, the cross section area in a normal pipe bend is a decent percentage smaller as the pipe flattens itself at the bend. Theres a huge difference...even avoid using 90 degree bends if possible. How much would you save if you used normal bends compared to mandrel?
  8. I'll be in it again.
  9. I'll be around Altona Nth tomorrow before lunch time if that suits (Sunday). You are more than welcome to go for a spin in the zed.
  10. A few years ago I scored a NOS set of these for $400. Then on a trip to Phillip Island, got a nice crack in one of the lenses... to say I was a tad upset was an understatement. Think long and hard if you really want a set.... sure they look great and finish off the front of a zed but one small stone can change all that! Be prepared for that to happen is all I'm saying..
  11. Don't think so... the many times I have tried ringing the mobile a recorded message says "phone is off or not in an area" and other times it rings out meaning the phone runs flat then someone plugs it into a charger again. So someone is checking the phone. Also, he is on Bookface and has had some activity well after I bought the car. I'm sure he's thinking he has other things to worry about other than me wanting to pickup the car but at least refund my cash! If anyone can help, I can PM you his address in Kallangur... I think someone else from another forum mentioned he can pay him a visit so I can wait to see what happens in the next few days..
  12. My next message will just say " Some guys are coming....." Its not a nice thing to do to anyone but here we are!
  13. If anyone could help me, I have a bit of an issue with someone in Kallangur QLD. If there are any members here that live close by, I'm more than happy to pay for any costs involved in going to an address there and picking up an RC car that I have already paid for about 3 months ago. Apparently the seller fell ill and was unable to get the car packed into a carton for my courier to pickup. Now calls / sms's go unanswered. his son was the last to message me about 2 months ago.. I'm getting desperate now... as its been long enough!
  14. Welcome! Another zed that needs some 'lovin. With time and patience (ie $$$$$$) you'll have a nice zed that others will envy. Keep the pics rolling in!
  15. When I worked at Hella manufacturing OEM headlights for Ford, Toyota etc, they had vents in the rear housing that looked like small barbed hose fittings with a small U shaped rubber hose pointing down with a small round sponge shoved into the hole to stop debris from entering. Unless the headlights have a perfect seal against the bodywork, you could seal the lens covers on but I'd have something small like a 1/8" hole or a gap in the rubber seal as low as possible to stop condensation and to let air circulate.
  16. Just make sure the car is level when adding the oil and just add until it overflows from the fill plug..then before you make a huge mess screw in the plug!
  17. I was thinking about doing a 6 hour...maybe an all zed team might be a thing to do. Once we iron out all the 40 year old bugs.
  18. Got one here but I think it's only issue is a couple of the "posts" that the self tappers go into might be split as someone in the past used either a too large a screw or excessive force tightening screws. Screws.
  19. Looks like a forklift ran over a set of headers...haha... Looks like alot of work...nice though.
  20. I thought in Russia, bear rides you!
  21. Beyond my power to remove... this is the second one I've seen; first one was about reflux? Gav just has to do some security updates or something along those lines... Annoying I know.
  22. Lovely example to enter zed ownership with again Curtis...
  23. I know Lindsay at Zshop has quite a few of the 280ZXT dizzies... all you need to do before installation is drill a 1/8th hole in the trigger disc and you have your #1 signal.
  24. Im running a L28T distributor just for the crank angle sensor. You will need to replace the oil spindle drive as they use a tongue/spline drive which doesn't really have any slop in it. Easy to swap and so far very reliable..
