Hey guys, Thanks for all those who emailed and message. The car now has a new owner and will be heading off on the weekend. It wasn't an easy decision to make specially after the time and effort that went into it, however I will be on the look out for another car in the future. Aaron

hey guys, Its come to a time now where the zed must go and rather quickly. As stated in previous posts. It has rust in the drivers sil, rear quarter panel, I believe the roof as well. I had started stripping the car back with plans to fix it but theres just too much. The hatch and guards arent good for much. Most of the interior pieces are there, the bars, doors etc are all there. The engine and gearbox seemed to run with no issues before I stated pulling it apart. The wheels seem to be of the wrong offset as they fronts rub on the spring saddles. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/12294-my-75-260-22-baby-girl/ She sadly needs to go, is located in the west of Melbourne. I am giving her away for free on the condition that anyone who takes her must take all the pieces that go with her. Most of what has been removed from the car has been labelled and some parts are sitting in primer as well. Feel free to drop me an email - AFleming@pacbrands.com.au or give me a call on 0401582141.

Sadly guys it has come time to part with what was going to be my project. Due to the amount of rust in this car as well as I now only have a single car garage to work with for the moment. I have decided its best to part with the girl and start saving and buy something thats almost complete or is complete. She is a 75 260Z 2+2. Before I started pulling the car apart I ran the engine and drove it around the block a few times. Engine seems to run well and didnt feel anything funny in the auto. I have almost all of the interior pieces although they are a bit second hand. From the work I have started there is rust in the drivers sill panel, the rear 1/4 around the fuel filler and also where it meets the hatch, There is a rust hole next to hatch hinge so I believe there is more than likely rust hiding under the roof too. There is also a squarish hole in the passenger side floor. I deally I would like to sell it as a complete car and parts. What has been removed from the car so far is mostly boxed up and labelled. However if there is enough interest in specific parts I will look at removing this add and parting out the car. As car is partially stripped it will need to be towed and is located in Wyndham Vale (western Melbourne) I know I wont get much if anything at all back on what I spent and thats ok. Given the amount of rust and work needed I am open to reasonable offers for cash on pick up. I have attached the link to the build thread for this car which has some pictures in it and I will happily supply anymore on request. I will also try get some more pictures of the specific rust spots tomorrow. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/12294-my-75-260-22-baby-girl/ Feel free to contact me with any questions either via PM or on email AFleming@pacbrands.com.au

Thanks PB, It's a decision I have been paining myself with for months now and I would rather do it now before I spend any serious money on her and atleast put that money towards a better project.

Well very sadly the decision has been made that its time to move my old girl on. There is just far too much rust in her body and with only a single garage in the new house is making doing any work on the girl very hard. I will take some photos later on and put up an add and I would prefer to sell her complete as a parts car where I can, however as she is somewhat pulled apart I will look at selling of certain parts. Feel free to message e before the add goes up if you are after something in particular. Once she is sold focus will turn towards saving to buy another Zed that is more or less complete.

My 75 260 2+2 "Baby girl"

So the old girl has finally made it into her new home after some big delays. Sadly though as more paint comes off and with a good look underneath while on the trailer the list of rust spots are mounting. As you would expect with such an old girl. I'm now left with the dilemma of what to do with her. I'm happy to spend money and know I will need to, but need to sit and have a good long think about whether I sink the money into this shell or try to find another? If I keep this shell do I keep going for my nice clean driver or do I just fibreglass the girl and have myself another fun track toy.

How many times do you visit this site?
Azman1984 replied to George's topic in Website Feedback & Club Discussions
I usually sneak in once a day and look at th posts since last visit. I'm sure once my baby is in her new home the usage will go up. -
Mostly from Supercheap but this could have a lot to do with staff discount haha
-
Sweet. Thanks for that.

Thats not a bad idea actually Gav, might try squeeze into the garage and have a feel around tonight. If its like any of the other BOG jobs on the car so far then yes I am expecting a lot of nasties
-
This repair on my 2+2 scares me a little at the moment. My rear hatch slam panel has almost been bogged flat. So either its hiding a lot of nasties or somone thought it would look better flat. Good work Gav Will be keeping my eye on this one.

Hey guys, First thanks for the How to, I had a look at it this morning and might have to do the same. As a side question, could you use the standard 260 locks if you didnt want to use the 2nd handles in the 2+2?
-
Thanks Gav! I'm not too worried with the originality of the smaller things like nuts and bolts on my 2+2 build. Given that quite a lot of my bolts seem to be mismatched and or rusted to the point of breaking I might just keep these kid in the back of my mind.

Hey guys on these faster kits, I'm assuming most don't like using these for their builds to keep with originality? Also what do you think of the pricing of them?
