Roberto Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 All completed now. Louver may or may not be a permanent addition. Just in time for All Japan Day. Quote
JDSM Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Nice, I like the louvre. Looking forward to the weekend. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted March 13, 2015 Administrators Posted March 13, 2015 Congrats on getting it done, lots of work involved no doubt! Happy that you no longer have a hole in the roof? Quote
Roberto Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 Decided to lose the polished lip on my watanabe's and go charcoal. I think it looks more "retro Japanese" now and less "street machineish". I used palsti-dip, so all reversible if i change my mind. Quote
KatoKid Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Awesome Roberto....love the tough look...needs more lows though! Quote
Roberto Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 Yes, the back is sitting higher than normal as I just took it off the jack and hasn't settled. I have a set of coilovers to be fitted also, so I can get it sitting just right. Quote
zzzzed Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Looks great. I bet it looks even better in person. Quote
oldmates260z Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Amazing how much a small change makes it looks so much different Quote
vorn70 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I think the all black works with the car colour. I went back and forward between the before and after photos and I like it. It must of been hard to decide to paint those wheels. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted April 19, 2015 Administrators Posted April 19, 2015 +1 for all black Watanabe's, I like black wheels on S30z's more and more these days. Quote
TobyMyers Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Love the black wheels, definitely improves the look Quote
boost Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 This thing looks bloody amazing Roberto. Love it ! Quote
Roberto Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 Thanks for the support and kind words guys. I am shocked too at the difference it has made. It must of been hard to decide to paint those wheels. I used plasti dip Vaughn. It's a rubber coating that I can peel off anytime, so there was no risk. Since I prefer it this way, one day I will spray them with actual paint. Let's see how long the dip lasts..... Quote
Roberto Posted March 20, 2017 Author Posted March 20, 2017 I was fortunate enough to meet a very talented, young photographer at All Japan Day who volunteered to do a video production of my 260Z. Big thank you to Yianni from YV Media for producing such an amazing video of my car! This is a very nice summary and conclusion to this build thread. Cheers to all.
