  1. well just took the s130 for a drive. just infront of me loud 1990 merc convertible 500SL passing a bus stop and school kids totaly ignored the once flagship of Mercedes and stared at a humble red 280zx with jaws on the ground. bubble wont burst people. z and well known popular classic will never drop new generations take over where previous one left off.
  2. more for aesthatic reasons. it looks too small reminds me of a carp with half of it mouth sewn up. i like the top half of the gnose just not bottom as is. has to be modded or entire lower section replaced, to make it less square and boxy but more wedge shape on bottom half
  3. do like it but not that rear wing. im trying to locate the front lip similar to that one. though thats s2 2seater.
  4. oh the chicks part. well not going to lie they seem to turn heads. im sure they no turning for me as windows are almost ambulance tint didnt buy it for that though. but does have a resonable pussy magnet in it. nowhere near as strong as on Shelby. "must be the burning rubber, they love the friction" hahahahhahahah
  5. if all goes well i should be there just keep me posted on the date. same here. i like it but changes the car too much which i didnt want. i like how it finishes the bonnet area. just if wasnt so square at the bottom. maybe cut the top half and fit a traditional lower lip/valance section i think it be a winner. dont really like the s1 front end. front bar just seems to be an afterthought with bonnet headlight cones . huge gaps as if they ran out of time and said "yep that will do". s2 front bar design lot better but still room for improvment.
  6. well guys been reading about this classic car bubble and comments how it will burst when the old farts pass away that remember them as youngsters. what we are forgeting there is a massive following on all classic cars from any age. i dont remember the mid 60s or even 70s ( didnt even see the outside world till 77) . But loved the early Stangs as far as i can remember (1984 onwards) so as Trans Am Corvettes, porsches ferraries lambos etc.. ( do remember my old man stories when he had rx3 rx4 , xw, xy,xa and xb gt, chargers etc... i sure do not recall 240z or even 260z but do remeber s2 rx7 and 280zx 300zx etc.. theres teenagers now that lust for 240z. they cant afford them now but in 10-15 years time while they cash up they be paying 60-70k for one without even thinking. bubble wont burst just get bigger. so dont worry about the bubble. unless there is a world war it will drop but than will go skyrocket again so keep saving and enjoying the classics. demand is always there just stock is variable. As for r32 gtr they are simple compared to todays cars. they are as unrealiable as the previous dodgey owner. cheap neglected cars need work. dont want to do it buy the one for 3 times the price and enjoy.
  7. done few things fitted genuine s130 electric fender mirrors and experimented with few things, blacking out few things and nepw front end. still undecided on s130 G-nose Something to ponder about. think the radiator opening needs to be bigger at least wider and indicators deleted. at the moment i just returned it back to what it was with fiberglass front bar and dodgey lower valance.

R32 r33 non turbo = 4 stud R32 r33 turbo = 5 stud Jap s14 non turbo = 4 stud S14 turbo =5 stud Z31 non turbo = 4 stud Z31 turbo= 5 stud Early mustangs 6cyl = 4stud Early mustangs v8 = 5 stud And so on etc.... Now as you can see im sure they didnt decide to put 5 stud for the f off it. There is an obvious reason they wasted beefing up to 5 stud. And to answer your previous question. Yes i have seen 4 stud snap. Not only that ive seen 5 stud sheer off. Just give it right conditions. For the power im running there is no need for 5stud and main reason for going 5 is for wheels. Now thats cleared up. We can all move on.
  9. Well they didnt break using a 350 stroker pulling 10sec. Just easier to find 17" wheels in 5 stud pcd.
  10. Beenthinking about it but dont want to change too much outside from stock appearance. But have been thinking about blackening out with that peel paint. Flares at this stage are not on books. Bigger wats in 16" and wider rubber maybe. I probably could fit 245/50 or 255/50 15". Currently 225 are ok but not with engine upgrade down the track. May even got z31 5 stud to cope with more punishment and able to get 17" with more choice of rubber. But so dont want to go aways from Wats. They perfect for it.

  12. Divorce is f#%^d and even though theres a mustang and few other cars ill still trade them back to get what i had before. At the moment its my therapy to keep me sane.
  13. Ok cars been on the road driving for couple of days. And its a hoot to drive. Lowered suspension, replaced shocks transformed the car. Drives awesome. Still to attend the grommet and fumes issues typical Z hahah. Need rear view mirrors as its bit annoying with lane changes. But mirrors are due any day now. Car settled more and took few pics. A pic with its little bit younger sister Till next time..
  14. Thanks mate, it is as cool as 240z but bit easier to live with. Power steer a/c and power everything. Even with non turbo , turbo engine (low comp) and tricked up auto she still moves like a bullet of the line. Lacks power at top end but soon to be rectified Got few more ideas up the sleeve for this car but just watch this space.

  16. I seen that and others related to the car ie see Fat pizza racing. Regardless of any of that which i dont get your question would I bought it if i saw it. Yes i would. Car was a street regod 10sec drag car. Car is straight no chassis twist door align up perfectly And shut. Just proves how strong the chassis is. Considering most of its life as race car the previous owner didnt butcher it. Still have the bolt on roll bar, besides lipping the guards and replaced the heavy stock bars with fiberglass copies the rest of the car is original. All original parts came with the car, dash,seats and a/c unit. 3 lsd diffs in various ratios, upgraded driveshafts, tailshafts, suspension, and also offerings to speed gods blown driveshafts which were the weakest link in the setup. Not to mention it came with another 280zx complete car and rb20det engine with custom intake. Didnt think about it twice or even bothered haggling.
  17. Thanks Gav, the car is lot nicer now. Keep looking at it all the time. It transformed the car in my opinion. Still few goodies are on the way from Japan but got to keep watching this for updates.
  18. As cool as it was being fat pizza car it wore off quickly. Racing fiberglass bonnet and drag look, just didnt do the car justice. I didnt buy the car for it movie appearance to tell you the truth, couldnt care less. All I wanted is a 2 seater 280zx at reasonable price. Previous history is cool. I still got all the bits which are returnable to be a "badwog" car. But as it is now it actualy turns more heads and people trying to figure what it is than point a finger and say oh fat pizza car and start laughing.
  19. Ok now to do something about those rear shocks, ride height and wheels. Yep put the wats that been collecting dust for the 240zg project and having no other decent 4pcd wheels no other options.Got dark quickly by the time i did it all. The next morning pics Painted and fitted the original bonnet Oh visited U-pull-it wreckers and raided 2+2 also got a r33 turbo to go with my custom made L series manifold i bough few months back of ebay. Still to change over the seats fit the ac unit, clean up the boot section, paint the console black. Than it be ok for driving. Then when time allows fix some paint issues, fit the factory mudflaps, and detail the engine bay and fit the turbo on it. Also change the diff to lsd and do a manual conversion. So if anyone has a 5spd collecting dust let me know.
  20. So Fat pizza 2.0 is on the go. Fixing the brake booster. Thanks to Greg for getting me a 260z booster. Had to mix and match bits from 280zx but was relatively easy to do. Blasting the booster before getting paint. Painted readyto be installed While i was at took the dash out to replace the non ac unit for ac unit that was originaly in the car. Still want comfort Dash repaint from red back to original black and using the original black crash pad with one crack instead of 2000000. Rejuvenated Tomei 300kmh cluster thanks to Jesse S and Yahoo. (Small fortune) Removed the clock and fitted a nismo boost gauge. Oh and a pleasant surprise under the bonnet And has the f54 block ???? Booster back in place Dash back in Steering wheel yet to be done but need to get a boss kit for it.
  21. Well finally it arrived. About the mystery wider rear stock wheel how its done. Wasn't banded but original alloy turned down to fit a 15" steel barell.than simply bolted through it. So its a 2pce style design. Lols cool but would have been nocer with the later version wheel. My mates excitement when we saw the car at the depo. Drive home fat pizza boys were there to celebrate the arival ???????????? (taken from Google search and was done in controlled environment by professionals so before someone starts egging me, get off the high horse, its a joke) Finally home Doing some pick up at hunter depo. Turns heads, makes people laugh and come up for conversation and taking pics with it. Who ever seen fat pizza (surprisingly a lot of people) recognise it. Typical question is it the actual car. Yes it is. Than things that annoyed me after short drive. 1.Brake booster leaking and disconnected. 2.cracked dash 3.seats 4.half the grommets on firewall are missing 5. Tailgate struts not working 6. The wheels and ride heigh. This made patrols look like low rider. 7. the bonnet (was cool at begining) but got over it quite quick its a pain to take it off and put back. 8. Got sick of being asked where Habibi and Sleek are. 9. Rear shocks were gone First thing first fix the brake booster. Got used to it quickly but than jumping into another car passengers were headbutting the dash or back of the front seats. Kinda funny initialy till they got possed of at me.
  22. Yeah yeah i did buy the Fat Pizza car Badwog. Still awaiting delivery but got a massive box of parts with it. Mostly the jap bits and pieces like interior, dash, seats, trim, as most of its been guttered and replaced with fiberglass bits. Also bits of the 350 engine it had on it like extractors tailshaft and engine mounts. Previous owner Simon is a great bloke and has been very good and gave me lots of goodies to go with it. Like another complete 280zx 2+2, diffs, roll cage, bonnets, moulds of the finerglass bits they did for the car, and also thrown in a rb20det to sweeten the deal. Anyway plan is to remove the fat pizza bits of it and store it "just incase" collectability (yeah right), and put nice wheels and refit the original jdm interior back in (came with the car). Replace the auto for manual and turbocharge the l28. Or just replace the l28 and fit the rb20det with 5spd. And maybe something like this as finished
  23. Hahah "fat chick" Is currently quite anorexic. From the big box of parts i got from the car dont think theres much left in it. Was used as a race car and was striped to bare minimum. Did 10sec with a 383 (350 stroked) though currently rides with l28.
  24. Simon lets make our own forum. S130 2seater club lol. Yeah seeing yours at the nationals loved the 280zx 2 seaters. Sexy car. Though as much as i want to keep it as "badwog" i still want my perfect 2 seater s130. Will retain the signature "badwog" parts like that ugly bonnet and the widened alloys. Will get the fat pizza stickers remade just in case it becomes "collectable" as a movie car. But will be jdm'd and done up to perform. May put it into the project section bit later.
