Hi everyone, sorry been very quiet for some time. Haven't forgotten yous, been occasionaly checking the forum. hopefully soon will be able to share what ive been up to. great to see new members growing the site and regulars keeping it alive. I'm still a nissan and a z nut with few others though i can say this "fat pizza" cant wait to come back. keep up with good work

Some of you know that i have been having some rough times lately and still not over. hence reason being away from posting stuff. but i em alive and still heavily involved with cars and projects. cant spill too many details at this stage as i know i have been watched. Georges recent early girl purchase and post prompt me to write this. some of his comments regarding it just reminded of me and that there are more people like us out there. its not about money, or what your friends going to talk about you and your car. its about what you want. since the nightmare i been going through i decided doing stuff i want. life is short enjoy doing what you love. i sold all my previous cars but the 240z and my s14. got close to letting the 240z go but lucky i didn't. currently busy with few projects not datsun or nissan. still old school. will post progress on these cars soon in next few days in their own post. currently working on 66 Mustang fastback that was reasonable driver now shell with driveline and going full redo that it deserves. why? cause i want it perfect. got fair bit of free time at the moment so going to spend few months doing what i love. its my working holiday. got myself a workhorse ute to make pick ups and deliveries easier. but still classic. no not a 1200 or 720 ute but xc gs falcon ute. with original Cleveland between its shock towers. mechanically perfect but body getting some rust removal treatment. not a resto just tidy up on the nissan and z scene i couldn't resist on bargain and got my hands on Red 1990 z32 fairlady Z 2+0 (2 seater) twin turbo manual non targa. kinda rare spec car. this will be full resto job once 240zg is complete. no rust just bringing it back as if it was 1990 again. so still in z game but looking at what i want not what ppl think. The ford and v8 bug has bitten as well. Thumpy 302 and 351 clevos and screaming 289 Windsor's just gives me goose bumps and a stupid grin. feels awesome. still turbos and efi do the same thing. the insane precision of the GTR or tail happy s14 or torque monster vg30dett in the z32. they all have character and soul. and most importantly they make you smile. do what makes you happy as you never know what life will bring next day. stop dreaming but get of your butts and start working towards you dreams not anyone elses

i just spent 45min from pg1 to pg11. guys too much crap. leave the silly comments to general discussion. rustiest z,not worth it it will cost this much and that much. everyone has their opinion. George first congrats on few things. 1.buying the early girl 2. sticking to your guns and ignoring the silly comments. you are close with your estimate and you did the right choices so far. some people don't get it. its not about money , work involved or time spent. its about the car and you. once this crazy weather calms down here i see a trip to Pauls is in my schedule. George also yahoo auctions is your friend and worse nightmare to your bank account. will be following and checking the progress in person.

Thanks Roberto, The beast is next in line as soon as sort out the 66. From few patch up jobs that i was ment to do went to full rebuild and respray. Will put up a few pics later on. You doing some good progress on yours looks very nice.

some of you guys already know recently have had lot of things on my plate and haven't been active. you guys probably seen few of my cars for sale on gumtree so wont go into details. life is still full of surprises and never take anything for granted. when you think its all perfect it turns around and bites you on the ass hard. life goes on. got lot of catching up to do on forum, lot of progress. still got my 240z the 240zg project. managed to hold on to it. just.... everything else is gone. have got couple of additions though. more on that latter (much latter) (i know that someone is spying on my every move, get a life woman and mind your own business) for vic guys I'm flying to Melbourne soon probably stay for few days. love to catch up if you guys got time. cheers Johnny

OK ZX has been sold to a local just around the corner from me. he does visit here but is bit shy. great kid very rarely you find the new age teenagers being so nice. So I'm happy to help him out any way i can. now the 260z. from previous post I made today you guys figured my life is bit upside down and this car has been sitting collecting dust since mid September last year. Though forced sale of it and a potential buyer who was dead keen on it to make it a animal. Sale fell through due to some unexpected curveballs of his own so the car is sitting again all quiet. though i did get it ready for the long trip to NSW only to find out the new owner wouldn't be picking it up due to having a major car accident. I had a sms regarding the watanabes from the 260z but to be tried on 280zx. So quick call to Eric the new owner of my 280zx and was happy to bring the car over and try the rims. this is what it looked like rears stick out a bit. spare set of 2 flares fixed that it looked so tough that wheels got sold damn quick. it was 40C plus day and probably the heat got to me i thought trying 18x10" workmeisters S1 that come on my R33 Gtr which i thought weren't right for the car. So i thought how about we try it on the 260z since it has the flares and front suspension bolted up. the 25mm 4 to 5 stud conversion spacers were used that i had on my 280zx when running 17" 5 stud well you can see it yourself. as you guys can see 18x10 all around. no scrapes no hits. though probably definitely need power steering to turn the 245 wide rubber at the front. still not sure what is happening with it at the moment its sitting like that and screaming at me to finish it off.

As some guys have figured i have been quiet lately. not that i dont like you guys anymore even though most of you saw all my Z cars for sale through gumtree. thanks for the interest and concerns. main reason i didnt want to advertise here was due to too many questions of why etc... My situation is still crap at the moment but at least has a direction now. 240Zg was pulled from sale as it was the last project car that i wanted to sell. had interest and could have sold it but my personal situation didnt get better so there was no point letting go so much work and research for rare parts. So im still in the game and still have my 240z. Also have the 2+2 as the sale of it kinda fell through. Though still not decided what to do about it as i was keen to see it go and reclaim my workshop space and only concentrate on the 240Z. so faith undecided but as i got it ready for the new owner to pick it up and made it rolling again it inspired me to finish it off. but due to my issues now i wont be working on any major projects till its all cleared with my ex and all financials are cleared so we can move on with our lives. Ive sold off all my other project cars and 280zx. only projects i got is the 240z and 260. 260 still may be for sale at later date. so yeah when you think life is going really well, it than turns around and bites you in the ass. happy Zeding.

Damn. I've seen you and the car several times near parade as well. at the time i was driving my rx7. will keep a look out and if i see something let you know. the problem with these older cars now they are getting more desirable and out of reach for lot of people. invest in a tracking device they not expensive or paging car alarm. if all else fails heavy duty chain and padlock and tie it to your house. hope it gets found soon.

Im orginising a Z weekend away for all the Z peeps on the forum. I have a holiday house (not for long) at Blanchetown Paisley Island (not Phillip Island ) home of Lock One on the Murray River. Waterfront residence ample carparking and sleeping space. Basically weekend away from the city enjoying the Z talk, bbq, booze, fishing, and if u have a jet ski or a boat ur welcome to bring it for a bit of a ski session. (sorry sold my boat so no longer can do it) ill provide as much as i can but bring some more booze and food you like to get cooked on bbq or if u prefer fresh carp from the murray be my guest got few fishing rods ready for some action. Interstate peeps Welcome the more the better want the island to remember me by biggest party ever on the island. PM me your mobile numbers and reply to this post if u are 100% interested in coming. All the Z peeps that are going to All jap day to meet at my place early in the morning for breakfast (like we did last year at Roberto's) and than we all head out as a group. That way we can all park near each other and hold each others hands also keep in mind weekend after All jap day it be Z Cruise/Camping at the Murray River.details will be made in another post. ill put a link to it once i get it done. so booze bbq Z talk with fishing and skiing.

Ok bit of an update. Work on this car is slow. Typical end of year madness. Plus 280zx blew a headgasket so spent couple of days getting that back on the road. So while i was taking the 280zx appart the n42 head on it was in very good condition and still a virgin. Thought t it rebuilt and use it on 260z. Also noticed a very nice f54 block as well. Yep comming out for 260z. Had another n42/n42 combo that was reserved for the 260z the painted motor few pages back. Took the head off it and that was a disaster wont go i into details besides head was a boat anchor. Had another n42 head that i took of another n42 block that was seized that i had but had few rusted shut valves. So plan was get the rusty head working and use the n42 block and refit back to 280zx. Kinda worked. Has issues but it gets me from a to b. Now all that got thrown out the window when Mick aka zzzzed put his rb20det for sale. So with little bit of thought and sms later rb20det was secured. Now what do i do with it lol? Fit it in the 280zx or 260z. Decision was easy as the 260z is registered with my old number plates from my previous 260z 2+2. So for those that don't know and since my legal crap Is finaly finished i em also registered as user RBZ260 on here which was my plate on this 260z. So rb20det is going into this 260z aand becoming RBZ260 mk2. As the 280zx has so much character and the na l28 goes surprisingly hard The collected goodies for l28et will be going into it. Once the 260z is on the road the 280zx will get some tlc on the side as scene change while the 240zg project reboots. Though 280zx will be running resto as rust issue is minimal and want to keep it as back up car. That one will be a different topic. So this one still going as planned only engine/gearbox upgrade as rb20det suit me better for daily use than thirsty l28.

tyres got quoted 245/60/14 $130 each through Bridgestone Select that I deal with that's the widest you can get through normal tire places. You can get 285 or 295 via hot rod shops like M/T streets for around $300 per tyre. so not impossible but can be exy. it had 205 60 14 fitted to the 10.5" wheel in japan. massive stretch. 245 would be more my cup of tea anyway. wont be as crazy stretch as the jap guys did. other sizes for front are dime a dozen and relatively cheap around $70-120 per tyre. these are old school wats not new moulds.
