  1. I think I may have that front lip somewhere at a mate's shop. I'll have a look when I go to see him about my shopping trolley in the next few weeks. Having said that, I kind of like the g-nose. It looks slightly funny, but you would never really see another around here and it looks quite practical. Tough choices.
  2. Nice one, Johnny, been waiting for you to pop back up with this one! So much done in bad taste, but those widened stockies are cool. Sounds like a good plan going original with an L28ET. Never know regards the collectibility, eh?
  3. Yes, well, kind of; Johnny knows something about this.
  4. I've got a new one somewhere. Pretty sure it's in Loxton now though. I'll have a look.
  5. No stress, look forward to next year Haha, mine too. I felt even more offended as I was ostracized from the rest of the Zs and sent to park near the Skylines. I'll come back next year with an S30 hopefully....
  6. Haha, you can actually see some of us milling around that early girl. I loved that car...
  7. This is correct, thanks anyway, Roberto. Thanks for the help, Jase. We jokingly said the other day that we'd have to go to Clark Rubber and make one...
  8. Reviving an old one here. I'm refreshing my diff at the moment. Does anyone have a source for NEW R180 rear diff mounts/bushes? I've only come across R200 ones and looking at non-Z R200s, I'm fairly sure that they wont fit. Cheers, Jamie
  9. Nice, I like the louvre. Looking forward to the weekend.
  10. What sort of ECU did you have for this setup?

    2015 All Japan Day

OK, anyone coming to the pre-meet, let me know if you haven't received the details and I will send them to you. Otherwise, I will finalise the attendee list today. If coming to the pre-meet, my house is the one with the blue and silver Imprezas on the front lawn. I'll ask that you drive down the driveway as far as possible, to try and keep most of the cars off the street. At this stage, we'll shoot to leave for a pre-AJD cruise along the coast at 8AM. Any questions, let me know.

    2015 All Japan Day

OK, so as we are two weeks out, I've sent out all the PMs with my address and contact number. Let me know if you did not receive one. I've also updated the original attendee list, so please let me know if anyone has been left out.

    2015 All Japan Day

I received my form for the day earlier in the week. There is a delay in putting in the application and actually receiving the confirmation, but as long as you submitted the original application correctly, and have received a confirmation of the application, the acceptance should not be too far off.

Yeah, they need that receipt number to confirm your entry first off, as per the entry form. It will be on the PayPal confirmation sent to your linked e-mail address, or you can find it by logging into the PayPal site itself.

What is the issue? It was in last year, so shouldn't be a problem? My entry still hasn't been confirmed and it was placed a few weeks ago...

Hmmm, I might. Depends if I have time to start the turbo sway on the Z in the next month. And do some paint. And and and. Might just take the shopping trolley.
  21. I used a lithium battery for my hill climb car: http://www.superstart.com.au/Products/ProductList/tabid/108/mode/details/bid/15/Default.aspx It weights a few hundred grams and they are very cheap these days. Also, you don't have to jump the car all the time as the CCA are massive for the size. Also, modern lithium batteries are quite safe compared to their predecessors.
  22. Yessss, I would also like to check it out as well. Hopefully Regency goes well, I've found them to be fairly good with older cars. Pulled up next to that red hako at the end of Anzac Hwy the other day, looked and sounded very nice!
  23. I went up to that wreckers to pick up some parts for my Impreza the other day and they sure have a few interesting bits and pieces lying around to say the least! I think I'd prefer the sound of this one though: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ferrari-458-Italia-4-5L-V8-Complete-Engine-Motor-2012-/361115119294?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5414236ebe On the 2JZ, I previously had a 1JZ and loved it (even with 0.5L less). Very reliable, handled large amounts of boost un-opened, just a shame about the type of cars they all came in... And how expensive the manual gearbags are. But both my trans and my engine copped a lot of abuse and still performed faultlessly. That was a street car though...
  24. Yes, I appreciate it, too. The US classic car market is often indicative of what is going to happen to local car prices. Looking at US auction prices gives you a good idea of what is likely to happen here. Look at FJ40s for example; a quite few good examples went for $60-80K at auction in the US last year, and you can already see the local market responding here. Some people aren't interested in educating themselves in market trends, but I don't mind it as a hobby, and regularly buying and selling cars is entertaining, so...each to their own.
  25. Ugh, no! Very tempting, but there's already 5 cars at my place between two people, so I'd have to liquidate a few... Good luck Mick!
