Brabham Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Looks awesome Paul. Would you be able to run the car with the sports sedans series to maybe get more track time? I felt they should have given the competitors a lot more track time too considering they stuffed around for about 2 hours at lunch on the Saturday. They should get rid of the demo runs too, the R88C was driven at about 5 miles an hour and the Huayra sounded like a vacuum cleaner! Ledge 1 Quote
Justyy Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 loved watching that thing go round, bit sad on the red flags though Ledge 1 Quote
d3c0y Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 (edited) Doesn't this thing go to 21psi? Edited October 20, 2016 by d3c0y gav240z 1 Quote
Ledge Posted October 20, 2016 Author Posted October 20, 2016 Doesn't this thing go to 21psi? LOL, it sits on around 1 bar. we are just using the gate spring. Now I'm getting used to it we will do some boost per gear and crank it up a bit in the higher gears. So yeah, Call me Pussy. LOL. d3c0y 1 Quote
jock Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Very nicely put Paul, a real no BS interview. Car is amazing. Quote
Dionysus Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Forgot I had these...Shame I didn't get to see the car hit the track on Friday, either way looks great in person. Thanks John Ledge and gav240z 2 Quote
CBR Jeff Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Looks like you are coming to grips with the package Paul. Jeff Quote
Ledge Posted November 7, 2016 Author Posted November 7, 2016 Jeff it was a slow lap to be honest, probably why it looked good LOL. Definetly getting more confortable in the seat. Lurch its the total opposite to SMSP. Easy to get used to and hard to master. im still a fair way from mastering it thats for sure. I would say a 1:09 isnt far away. Getting ready now for the Adelaide Motorsport Festival. Will be a lot of fun. Lots of old school race cars. Quote
Ledge Posted November 10, 2016 Author Posted November 10, 2016 Does this mean ive made it to the big league http://www.speedhunters.com/2016/11/time-attack-paradox-cutting-edge-240z/ hmd and George 2 Quote
260DET Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 All that and beyond, particularly Magic happens when the desire to build and refine something unique is stronger than the desire for outright victory in just another well-proven chassis Quote
CBR Jeff Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 (edited) Yep. That's the big league but don't let it go to your head Paul ;-). You do deserve the props. Well done. Jeff Edited November 10, 2016 by CBR Jeff Quote
Riceburner Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Great article, yes big leagues indeed! Quote
260DET Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Big league because it's different from the usual formula time attack car and, importantly, the presentation is first class. Drive themselves EVO's, the good old reliable S chassis, those options have been done to death and get boring real quick, that's why Paul's creation is getting the publicity which it rightfully deserves. Sponsors should be rapt. Quote
Ledge Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 Well lads there is no real rest with a car like this. Finally addressing the R200 longnose. Ive found although it hasntbroken it just isnt up to the acceleration rate the car is putting out. I may be wrong but the car has had a strange rear vibrationthat i cant find. everything is replaced except the R200, But when i changed from the 3.9 to the 3.3 it was better. So total diff changenow to eleviate it.Also ive just dropped the car off to Topstage for some front and side aero updates. Cheers Quote

260DET Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 This a CAMS 2a Sports Car? Side exhaust gives a clue. Or not Quote
tir33d Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) Nice how its just a quick mention of diff, there are a few people here that have changed rear ends. Everyone seems on a different route though. After breaking a pinion at Bathurst I also felt the urge to change. Only my route is via a independent 9 inch. Just cut a big hole through the centre of my car. I have four R200's in my shed - hopefully I will only ever need one 9 inch. And we wont talk about costs either !! Ledge Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 Richard i could get it in Sports cars class yes. Ive had a guy look at it. I didn't need to cut the floor, had to section out the upper cross member though but that was due to the quick change part. Maybe the 9" housing is bigger. Quote
Ledge Posted May 14, 2017 Author Posted May 14, 2017 Update on Freddy's progress with the new aero packages for 240/260z. Will be carbon fibre when finished Quote
d3c0y Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Any reason the inlet area is so big? Is the cooling with the RB marginal? Quote
Ledge Posted May 14, 2017 Author Posted May 14, 2017 Never had cooling issues, but better to go bigger and blank some off then too small and have to hack some out d3c0y 1 Quote
