Lots going on paul was short shifting .not going past 6500 .and the shifter was false triggered caused it to mis .it was going a bit better in the second run when it snaped the rear drive shafts .will be dam fast when its right .and the boost is off the lowest setting

Yeah it was just a big test day for me and the car. we were still fine tuning the engine fail safes and the shifter cut settings. The next run

after this vid was better but still tweaking the ecu parameters. Breaking the axle didn't help. But that's what testing is for.

First place for the weekend was a mid 44 second pass. The above vid was 45.8. Take out the miss and add more throttle and rpm

and it doesn't take a genius to work out the cars potential.

Bigger axles are currently getting made. so hope not to long until is go time to find the next weakest link.

Cheers Lads

Hey Chaps,

Well ive got some new hardcore axles in thanks to MadDat Motorsport.

Peter Mc flew over to put the car on a Hub dyno as we get no traction on a

chassis dyno. Sorted out a missfire then the next day went to Mallala for some laps.

The missfire came back but we were un able to diagnose it on the day. So i was limmited

to 5500rpm. Bloody thing still goes hard.

We have since looked at the data log with help from the guys at Motec and Les Collins and

discovered our Oil Pressure safty parametres are a little to close so this has been remedeed we hope.

This is a Half lap vid.

Enjoy, Short shift central.

I saw this video pop up 2 days ago and I thought it prudent not to jump in and post it. It took all my inner strength to resist!!!

The power, just the power. Would be good to see some footage from track side to give more context..

Jeff your welcome to put vids up if you see them. As is everyone else. Sometimes i just forget.

Was hoping Peter was going to get some external video but he was to busy enjoying the noise.

The videos dont do any justice to the note of the car

Fast!!!!!!!!! I have done a lot of laps around Mallala on motorcycles and Paul's car accelerates just like a motorcycle, it just eats the little excel on the back straight.

When downshifting, is the lever just shoved through or can the throttle be blipped to smooth the deceleration? Just trying to imagine the process, from the (great) video it looks like apply the brakes and downshift through the gears as quickly as possible. Which would involve quite a bit of skill to avoid lockups. Not that I'm a manual person but I'm thinking that it may be slightly quicker with a H pattern to downshift from, say, fifth straight to second. Upshifts with the sequential are obviously quicker.

Awesome Video Ledge, so quick. How do you keep up? Better start working out that left arm to build strength for the long races. Maybe switch your beer drinking arm to the left. Any more footage? I want more!

Fast is an understatement that thing is incredible, great work mate!  8)
