If they have managed to get a single cam rb20 head onto the l series block why wouldn't they try to adapt a twin cam head?

This is a link to the whole movie "Wangan Midnight" with English subtitles.  Every zed owner has to watch this.  It is hilarious.

It's about a 240Z that is haunted and keeps killing it's owners in car smashes and getting restored again.  It's a 2+2 when a wreck at the start of the movie and then a 2 seater when restored..... :o

They pop the bonnet and there is an L series with triple carbs and the guys says, oh it's twin turbo ;D

Anyone seen it yet?

Got some in car footage of my best lap (and the fastest lap of the day) at the last WRX Phillip Island sprint, speed and G-force overlay included.

I have also modified the dash to show RPM and throttle, so here is the new link.

cheers,

Some videos of my mate Ricky's 240z at Hampton Down a few weekends ago. First handicap race he started in 24th in a grid of 27 got to 8th in the 8 laps. Changes made for this outing new 4.375 R200 I sourced and one of my LSD centres this was changed to make up for the change of RIM size from the group buy of 15x8 +10 Rota RK-R I arranged here in NZ, down from 16 due to class rules plus up in total size from 225/45/16 to 235/50/15.

2nd handicap race SC in the middle of the race....watch how close things get around lap 3.

Same race but from the MG V8 Ricky just pasted.

Mike, is that the track south of Auckland as you head for Hamilton?

Last turn - start finish - first turn has a bit of Brands Hatch about it. Nice.

That's the one, drove past it when i did a work trip a few months back, flew into Auckland and drove to Hamilton, looks likes a fun track.

His last name is Cooper, times.... around the 1:15's for the fastest 240z with road/dot tyres ie Ricky there are a few others just a bit faster but have flared body work for more rubber/grib.

Other times to give you an idea

The current record is 59.840 held by Michael Lyons (UK). He was driving a Lola T400 HU7 Formula 5000 during the NZ Festival of Motor Racing celebrating BMW Motorsport on 29th January 2012. The lap record was broken in race 101.

A Ford Mustang 429 holds the central muscle car record at 1:09:85

Note the club circuit has not been constructed yet.

Thanks for the times, are those times on the International circuit or full circuit?

John

international as the full circuit has not been complete yet, the full is international + club but the club construction is some way off it is owned by a few private investors aka fellow racers so the need to get revenue to keep the bank happy before more $$ invested in more track....sad but given the current global financial markets today it is was it is.
