RBZ 260 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 With a dash like that, you'd forget your driving a early Zed... hmmm but people looking at it on the outside wont to be fair. i love the stock s30 dash but...... its not that practical. speedo rev guages are hoplesly low and deep, vents are positioned wrongly they dont work where u want them. lets face it i admit z is great to drive butits not that nice on the inside. i do like the 70s feel on the inside of the Z but i much more preffer the S14 lot nicer to be in.everything works how i want it and i can see everything perfectly without dodging the steering wheel. got an s15 dash and im seriously thinking installing that either to the 260z or may use it as an experiment on one of the 240z. Chris240 sorry mate. cant promise u that. i think ive settled on the paint colour for the early Z with flares and but that last pic of the refined s30 keeps me ticking over i so want a modern looking s30 Z now. only problem i got all those mods wont go too good with RTA when i try get the defect off. hmm need a SA registerable chasis hihihihihih Quote
DoctorZ Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I've always admired this Zcar, I think the Flares are perfect. Dare I say it, I think I prefer them to the ZG style as they are so smooth and don't interupt the perfect lines of the 240z. On this page. http://www.zparts.com/indexes/inprogress.html Might be worth getting in contact with Eric the sites owner and asking him about the Flare specs I'm sure plenty of other owners would love a set (myself included). eric (at) zparts.com Yeah that's more like what I would go for in arch flares. Looks like it would be a pretty big job though Quote
DoctorZ Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Hey Johnny, has your 2+2 been through RTA? Quote
NZeder Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Yeah that's more like what I would go for in arch flares. Looks like it would be a pretty big job though Sure is. Pics of how I want my zed to look like....what a minutes it is my zed All flares now finally finished and paint purchased so a few months it should be home (only gets work done on the weekends) I should get some newer pics Quote
DoctorZ Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Looks like a real pro job, look forward to seeing it completed! Quote
RBZ 260 Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 i must admit Nzeders flares are best. it doesnt look like an add on and its crafted to match the car features. great job. DocZ nope, but its all done to the specs. just need to get the paperwork through bit slack and rather spend the money on something else man i so cant wait to start working on the 240z now. i think mazda may be pushed to the side. Asked him once to give some close up pics of his throttle linkage and he did...heres another one of his 432. The attention to detail is disturbing.. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted February 20, 2009 Administrators Posted February 20, 2009 That's true, nice fellow! Asked him once to give some close up pics of his throttle linkage and he did...heres another one of his 432. The attention to detail is disturbing.. I asked him if we could feature his cars on the website. He sounded happy to do it, but perhaps forgot to send through the details. I'll have to follow up again and ask him. It would be really cool I think. Do you have his contact details still? Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted February 21, 2009 Moderators Posted February 21, 2009 I just sent him a message through HybridZ; just try asking him again Gav... Quote
NZeder Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I just sent him a message through HybridZ; just try asking him again Gav... Or Classiczcars I think he visits there more often. His 432 has to be the best example I have seen on the net - and one day if I ever get the chance to visit Japan I think a visit to view his cars in the flesh would be well worth it. Quote
