NZeder Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 should have read the post correctly I will see if I can find out an approx price :EDIT: Well the Japanese site that I thought sold them only have a picture of the item for displace/reference purposes so no idea what they go for. :EDIT Again:Well a search of the Japanese auction site found they are going for around ¥75,000 in very good condition which is $750 you will need to have an agent to purchase from the auction so add shipping and fees you are looking over or close to $1000 for a wheel - you really want one that bad. Would be nice to have but not that nice. Quote
stevo_gj Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 holy crap.. thats quite more than i expected! chock that one up for 'some day' or possibly get a mate whos in japan to buy one for me, although that wont be much cheaper. haha look at me planning for a car i dont have yet, back to the stakeout on carpoint i go ! That price was a buynow and for an almost new unit. They also look like the sell for around ¥25,000-30,000 for ones that have damage around the spline or the rim. But that is still like $300 for a rough unit. Quote
260Coupe Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Holy snapping duck sh!te...........if my wheel is worth $1000, I best weld the bloody thing on, I'd hate to get it nicked !!! I paid $400 for it a few years ago and thought it worth every cent. Alan Quote
stevo_gj Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 haha that must be a nice surprise alan What is the website you were looking at these prices on? I wouldn't mind having a look around for the gearstick shown in that blue datsun. Heres hoping its in english, as my japanese is pretty bad. Quote
NZeder Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 auctions.yahoo.co.jp or as someone else pointed out use these guys to help search if you don't understand Japanese (which I don't but I know what drop down does what and have a document with the fav searches in Japanese saved so I just copy past etc works for me and has done for the last few years) http://www.slidewizeimports.com/ $400 bargain that looks like it might be going rate for a good one with only minor marks after a bit more of search on yahoo.co.jp Quote
stevo_gj Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Found another good site that translates the yahoo auction site for you, bit easier to use than slidewizeimports www.importmonster.com.au Free signup then you can browse the yahoo parts. The site charges a hefty fee, something like $125 for a $500 item. Still good to browse though as its all translated for you. Quote
tbscobraZ Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 If you want that look but a cheaper alternative then try this maybeyou could also mabye get someone to create a stiched leather block to mount it on so it looks more like it. Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted May 28, 2008 Administrators Posted May 28, 2008 Wow, crazy looking Z. I'm sure its not everyone's cup of tea, but it sure is unique. Not sure if I'd have gone with black myself but it looks quite stunning. I believe those are Type B flares. I'm curious as to what's under the bonnet. Quote
Scando Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Not a fan of the G nose or the headlight covers but love the crazy flares! Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted May 29, 2008 Administrators Posted May 29, 2008 I personally love the Gnose. Its makes the Z look more modern This shot I think is a good comparison of standard front end vs Gnose. I personally didn't like the Gnose till I saw it in person. For some reason in photo's it doesn't quite look right but in person it looks fantastic. Quote
yellazed Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I like it! I have the G-nose, but am ambivalent about it. It was on the car, so I have left it, but may lose it one day. However, I do think the squat stance from the extra wide flares and wheels nicely balance the extra overhang of the G-nose. I may have to find some wider flares, now. Love the wheels, too. Want some, but can't find wide Panasports and the widest Wats I'm offered are only 9.5s. Black? Beautiful. Looks mean and classy at the same time. Then again, I have a squat black Z32, so I'm biased. Quote
xii Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 G-noses without extended flares remind me of peking duck... or a platypus.. A chin-like spoiler under a g-nose is can also make it look less quacky. VS Quote
Dingo Dave Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 For now i am happy with people looking at my car and saying it has potensial. but having the turboed power plant under the bonnet till i can take it off the road and do everything. Quote
modular9 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Angelus: if you can get the 280 to look like this then bring it on !! I think these are a repost i cant be sure and dont want to check all the pages. I am lazy like that ! Quote
Dingo Dave Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 hmm maybe. Its black already lol. But i have a twist on the black paint Im gonna do. Body kit probably wont be that far out though. Quote

zedevan Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 i dont think your ass would appreciate going from recaro's to factory seats! but i'd be more than happy to swap with you lol, not sure how postage $$$ wise would work out though Quote
