  1. After I've plug welded it do I need to seam seal the edges to stop it rusting out again?
  2. Hello people. I'm going to be welding in a lower radiator replacement panel. Nearly rust free! Any tips for the job from people who have already done it? Weld all around the outside or drill holes and plug weld it? Cheers Andy
  3. Heya guys. Started doing some rust work on my 260z. I knew this area had surface rust but after some digging it's a bit worse than I thought. I have cleaned it up and this is what I have. The pin holes on top don't worry me. The surface rust inside i think i can treat and cover with a por15 style product. The two sections behind the dash I wil cut out great and then weld in new metal but the section above the heater blower is properly rusted through. Advice on that part would be great. I have seen people unpick the top but I would like to avoid that if possible. Hard to see but in the first pic from under the heater blower that airway is rusted through quiet badly.

  11. Hello people, Time to sell off some of my Z horde. What I have is here is a brand new never fitted Arizona Z Car Cast Aluminum Baffled Oil Pan and New Sump gasket. It was US$499 + gasket + postage but I want $450. Postage at the buyers expense. Located in Mandurah south of Perth. My internet is a little inconsitent at the moment due to moving house but I will reply as soon as possible. Andy Here is the link and blurb http://www.arizonazcar.com/pan.html 1970-1978 NISSAN 240Z, 260Z, 280Z. This is a specially baffled pan designed to control the oil under extreme cornering, accelleration, and braking. To accomplish this it has 4 trap door baffles that only allow the oil to flow to the pickup and not away from it. The pan is a high strength casting that adds rigidity to the engine block. The deep fins on the bottom of the pan greatly increase oil cooling. This pan also adds about a quart of extra oil capacity. Also featured are 2 dash-8 plugs with o-ring for the oil drain and turbo oil return. A cast boss can be drilled and tapped for an oil temp sender . Socket head mounting bolts are included. Price: $499.00

  14. When I asked my engineer in WA for engineering purposes, he said deletion of the rear bumper was ok but the front was needed as it is part of the crumple zone and passenger protection but dont take my word as law

  16. My PO had fit these massive overfenders, no problem but had filled the gap with expanding foam which absorbed water. Major drama when I stripped it back but the rust wasnt so bad under it all.
  17. Reminds me of a mustang fastback at the rear
  18. I was photoshopping the same idea yesterday lol
  19. Isn't there precedent with the 240zg model for rego purposes. How did their wheel weeks or fenders look under the flares ?
