Nice work Rev, starting to really come together. Can't wait to see it finished.

O.K one more hurdle jumped with the help of my Big sons who are probably more knowledgeable than me now!  So engine is in, now to begin to hook everything up and probably call Scoot for some \help to dial in the Dellorto's!

Excellent work there Rev! Are those trumpets the EFI Hardware one's? The ones near the strut tower look like a mighty tight fit. Or is it the cam angle?

Posted

Looks great Rev  ;D Yeah they're efi hardware 105mm long, and yes they're tight! Just make sure you use the springs inside the filter socks Rev, otherwise they do get sucked into the trumpets. Fit the ones around the strut tower first makes it a bit easier.

Thanks Gareth, I might have to get a few hints on where you ran your fuel lines...off the existing rail or did you run new lines.  Also do the Dellorto's have to have a fuel return?

I ran a pierburg electric pump near the petrol tank and then ran new line, 5/16 hose from fuel filter in front of rocker cover and fixed on a bracket above timing chain cover then to carbs with a return line back to the front right corner, i had a restrictor/reducer in the return line. It depends on you're fuel pump pressure but you may not need a return, they should be good to go but might pay to sync them (efi harware sell carb sync for $80 i think, were perfect when i sold em). Then 2-3 pumps of the throttle before starting then turn the key and try to wipe the smille from your face  :D Call or PM if there's any questions  0438 139 three seven eight.

Why does it look like you still haven't fixed the lower mounts on the radiator support panel...?

Yep, this one's a keeper.  Saying that I guess if interest rates get back to where they were I might be in strife!! ::)

Gearbox mount installed, drive shaft hooked up, rear light garnishes repainted, lenses polished - NUMBER PLATE ON! :o

Even without the plates Rev, you can't mistake that zed for anyone else! At this rate, you should be done by next week..

Yeah Lurchos, haven't got there yet! I polished the lenses with a plastic polish, came out OK.  Probably need to re plastichrome  the surrounds.
