Lurchos, no offence taken just 'giving a bit back'! I will wait and see what the RWC people say.

Rev, a solution that may work for you to getthe wheels and tyres under the guards at the rear, works on my circuit racer with 8" wide rims, is to fit an eyebrow flare. The ones I use are cheap fibreglass ones from a suziki 4WD only about an 1" or so wide and are attached by some screws into the guards, for a neater job sikkaflex would work a treat.

Rev,

I can't really believe I'm going to suggest this but .... what if you bought/borrowed some wheels and tyres, and what if these new wheels and tyres fitted beautifully in the guards, and what if you went to get your RWC with these new wheels that you obviously like more than your current wheels, and you got your RWC, then after a little while you realised that these new wheels weren't exactly what you wanted after all as you really did prefer the old wheels, so what if you then retrofitted the old wheels?  What if ....?

Here we are I think this is the first full side profile pic! first time out of the garage that she went into looking very tired and...brown! 6 months later and she looks a little different.  It's now on the trailer ready to get a few final things done before her debut!

Ha Ha  I thought there might have been a theme or something he was aiming for. I guess we all add our personal touch of individuality to our cars.  :D

Thanks for the comments guys. Craig, the mirrors on the fenders was to go for that 'JDM" style look, They're not as practical as door mirrors but I like the difference of them. I mounted the winch to a random piece I fond in my collection, I think it was someones home made attempt at a front bumper mount and it worked pretty well.  It is now at Daniel Moore's for some final touches and hopefully ready by the 17th for the Jag club meet.

A few hitches >:( on my way to get RWC yesterday and ...no wipers!  Thanks to Mayhem we got that sorted and too late to get RWC!  Booked to go to Vic Roads on Tuesday but doubt if I'll make it now!  The other thing is that the Carbs whilst fine at stationary rev, die under load, lots of coughing and backfiring...so I'll try to be there thursday night otherwise it may be there on a trailer! :'(

Anyhow today I wet sanded and gave it the first cut, it cam up pretty good, next is a machine polish with a black foam and then ...maybe a hand polish, if I get time.  It's nice to finally see a good reflection in the paintwork.

Are the pump jets squirting? After you install the Dellorto Carbies and they are full of fuel, reach underneath and pull the pump activator all the way down and then push up. Do this a few times and listen for the squirt. You will be able to hear it squirting. Could cause the hesitation.
