luvemfast Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Great work Rev It's a bit dull though, kind of blends in with its surroundings Quote
620Z Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Very nice Rev. I notice your not going for the smooth look on the rear? Quote
reverendzed Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 Thanks Simon, I know I should have gone a little brighter, but hey, I'm a conservative kind of guy! Craig, I thought after doing 3 'smooth' rears on the other Zeds it's time to go back to the bumper! I did fill the U.S bumper holes but left everything else to either fit chrome or CF bumpers...not sure yet. Quote
RBZ 260 Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 very nice work Dave.. let the fun part begin. Quote
tbscobraZ Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Are you going to paint the engine bay and interior or is there already coats down? Quote
Brabham Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Hi Rev, why do you prefer acrylic to 2-pack? Looks nice. Quote
zzzzed Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 i would say it would be because he isnt using a booth. Acrylic dosnt need to be baked like 2 pac. Even though acrylic dose not last as long as 2 pac, it will buff up to a better gloss. It is ok if you don't constantly leave it in the sun Quote
FuzzyDropbear Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Wow Rev, awesome work! The colour you ended up with looks great. Good to see you're making some good progress on it. Keep up the good work. Cheers. Quote
reverendzed Posted March 27, 2010 Author Posted March 27, 2010 Hi Rev, why do you prefer acrylic to 2-pack? Looks nice. It's like Mick has said, 2 PAC outside of a booth is just not worth considering neither is the health risk without proper masks etc. The Acrylic is also great if you have to 'rework' anything later its ability to touch up etc is just plain easy. It requires more work as I have to sand it all again and then carefully cut and then polish but in the end I get a great looking finish! Rev. Quote
reverendzed Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 Last nights effort: Lowered with king springs on 4 corners and started to play with some interior pieces. Rev. Quote

reverendzed Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 Hey Gav, My mate Hayden and I have it all made OS and import it in. you can see it all at http://www.wix.com/revzed/Revs-Zed-Emporium Would be good to be able to have a banner on the site as whatever we make we will return a portion to Auszcar. Although you will see by the prices that we are doing it more as a service than a business. Rev. Quote
