Yep this is the current color seen on many of the XR8 Fords! XA1973 wants to know what I do for a day job....I'm a minister currently working for a Christian Charity that works with abused and neglected kids in the foster/residential care arena. Sulio, don't tempt me...I'm wondering if it's time for a 'seachange'...I've been thinking about or dreaming about doing more in the Zed department.  Right now I have mine to finish, then a 240 resto for a mate in Qld, then a 260 2 seater from Vic and a 2+2 from Vic....so it makes you wonder!

I suspect divine intervention, it is not humanly possible to paint that quickly  ;). And now for his next miracle... Nice work Rev are you sticking with those old skool wheels?

Than ks for the encouragement guys, hope to have all paint finished by WE.  Brabham the wheels are just my 'paint wheels' as soon as the car is finished painting the new shoes come out of the shed and onto the car.  Those rims are actually not bad for ol' school would do up well if someone had the time!

Here's the final shots of the finish (pre final sand & polish) this color was a hard one to get coverage! it took 6lt of Acrylic and 3 lt of clear all up, which equates to about 5 coats of color (wet sanded after 3) and 2 coats of clear.  I'm pretty happy with the results and once again a whole lot cheaper than a paint shop!  The great thing about painting yourself, if you take the time you can get an orange peel free, high gloss, repairable finish. that you can touch up anytime!

I will now leave the paint until everything is finished on the interior and motor goes back in.  Acrylic is best left to harden for as long as possible before it's cut and polished.
