Moderators PB260Z Posted August 8, 2017 Moderators Posted August 8, 2017 Thanks for posting that vid Jeff Great to see the cars being built on "the line" rather than in post production workshop - reinforces the connection to the more mainstream product, something that is lost in most of today's competition cars. Cheers PB Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted August 10, 2017 Administrators Posted August 10, 2017 Had a bit of a chuckle to myself when they started talking about date stamps on the steel wheels of this 904. Quote

It sounds huge, but those numbers are massive! I thought the LD28 block was not compatible? Edited August 19, 2017 by Gareth. J. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted August 22, 2017 Administrators Posted August 22, 2017 Love this guy's Alpine's - very cool cars and I love the period correct parts on many of them. Quote
CBR Jeff Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Love this guy's Alpine's - very cool cars and I love the period correct parts on many of them. Very impressive little cars. I remember as a young fellow watching Bob Watson drive an a110 in what would have been the Don Capasco rally in Canberra in 1974. Then seeing Ron Marks running his R5 turbo at a Gold Cup rally here turned me into a closet Renault fan. I almost purchased an R8 Gordini as my first car but Dad talked me out of it getting a 1600 instead. Jeff Quote

KatoKid Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 I would say he is a very good punter just trying hard. Looks like he's done some laps before. mossy and CBR Jeff 2 Quote

CBR Jeff Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Ari and Sebastien did it quickly. Before them Michele was the first woman to win the race and famously said on the podium "if we all had balls we would race back down!" Mr Block just does it sideways. Jeff Quote
AndBir Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Saw this when looking at a parts link :https://www.facebook.com/tokyo2u Not good to see : Quote

CBR Jeff Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) This is my favourite pikes peak memory. Must admit to having a bit of a crush on the small French woman. She caused quite a bit of a stir when she competed. The Americans didn’t like being shown up by a woman. Jeff Edited September 27, 2017 by CBR Jeff Quote

GregTas Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 (edited) This is a very inspiring story of how one person and his mates on a limited budget developed a bike ahead of its time that was able to successfully compete against the works teams. The Britten motorcycle He designed and built the engine for it! Sorry I don't know how to put the link in with pic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9vp5dbi8dI Edited January 2, 2018 by GregTas Quote
260DET Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 The 280ZX, a victim of S30 snobbery, is my vision faulty or is this the best race car of all time. HomeBuiltByJeff and Hokin 2 Quote
Hokin Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 Wish we got the 2-seater version of the S130, great video. Loved the sound of the old L6. Quote
