although i am enjoying the 911 "resurrection" videos, i have to sympathize with all the tradesmen in the video's, it can get frustrating when your trying to figure out a problem, having a customer in your face hovering over you wanting to talk or asking questions, this guy is even worse because he has a video camera in your face doing on the fly commentary too!

*edit

Just watched them all, now Ive started the 911S restoration video's in his other playlist.... dam it Gav i was supposed to drop the front suspension out of the zed today haha!

When I was in London I went on a walking tour of the East End and saw a lot of cool street art.

Thought this was interesting.

$20 oil change...

No surprises here hey?

Would never happen in Australia, here they only have $200 oil change :)

I had this playing in the background, then I heard an Australian accent, turns out it was a 240K advertisement from Australia.

31m and 14s in.. Pretty funny.

As is the rest of the video, those boys really give the 240k's a hard time.

Embedded video below.

Shame we never got cars like this.

Australia had a history of only getting the pedestrian version of the product, be it Datsun, Mitsubishi or Toyota.

Yeah a friend of mine was really into Toyota's and used to complain a lot about the fact that we only got the boring motors in most of our variants. I distinctively recall giving him a hard time about the RA40 Celica and a review that said the motor was about as exciting as a trip to the dentist. Still not a massive fan of the RA40s although give them a couple more years and I might mellow a little more on them :).

When I was parts interpreter for Toyota we were still using the global parts microfiche catalogue and it was interesting to see what was listed for the JDM versions of early Celica and Corolla models.

Back then you could arrange to get any valid part number added to the Aus master file then request price & availability Ex Japan - It was suprising how much was still available.

I have often wondered if Nissan/Datsun have a similar option and is it a just matter of finding a dealer who knows the tricks.

Talking about this at Lunch with colleagues, thought it was a funny urban legend.

I too thought this was just an urban legend.

Somewhat amazing that they were still in such good condition after 30 years buried.
