CroS13 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) although i am enjoying the 911 "resurrection" videos, i have to sympathize with all the tradesmen in the video's, it can get frustrating when your trying to figure out a problem, having a customer in your face hovering over you wanting to talk or asking questions, this guy is even worse because he has a video camera in your face doing on the fly commentary too! *editJust watched them all, now Ive started the 911S restoration video's in his other playlist.... dam it Gav i was supposed to drop the front suspension out of the zed today haha! Administrators gav240z Posted September 13, 2015 Administrators Posted September 13, 2015 I had this playing in the background, then I heard an Australian accent, turns out it was a 240K advertisement from Australia. https://youtu.be/MabcT-2MdDI?t=31m14s 31m and 14s in.. Pretty funny. As is the rest of the video, those boys really give the 240k's a hard time. Embedded video below. lightmaster240z 1 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted September 15, 2015 Administrators Posted September 15, 2015 Cool little Mitsubishi. Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted September 15, 2015 Moderators Posted September 15, 2015 Shame we never got cars like this. Australia had a history of only getting the pedestrian version of the product, be it Datsun, Mitsubishi or Toyota. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted September 15, 2015 Administrators Posted September 15, 2015 Yeah a friend of mine was really into Toyota's and used to complain a lot about the fact that we only got the boring motors in most of our variants. I distinctively recall giving him a hard time about the RA40 Celica and a review that said the motor was about as exciting as a trip to the dentist. Still not a massive fan of the RA40s although give them a couple more years and I might mellow a little more on them . Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted September 16, 2015 Moderators Posted September 16, 2015 (edited) When I was parts interpreter for Toyota we were still using the global parts microfiche catalogue and it was interesting to see what was listed for the JDM versions of early Celica and Corolla models. Back then you could arrange to get any valid part number added to the Aus master file then request price & availability Ex Japan - It was suprising how much was still available. I have often wondered if Nissan/Datsun have a similar option and is it a just matter of finding a dealer who knows the tricks. Edited September 16, 2015 by PB260Z Quote

Moderators PB260Z Posted September 25, 2015 Moderators Posted September 25, 2015 I too thought this was just an urban legend. Somewhat amazing that they were still in such good condition after 30 years buried. Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted October 21, 2015 Administrators Posted October 21, 2015 This was hilarious... The more things change, the more they stay the same. This is despite ongoing media reports on "Hoons" it's part of the A Current Affair staple. They live off that stuff. Quote
