Man I love these Mazda pickup trucks, kind of wish it was still rotary but still a cool build.

Nice Patina on this thing.

Now I want 1, don't think we got them in Australia sadly.

I wouldn't have thought a rotary would be a suitable engine for work ute due to their lack of torque, so couldn't really understand them being factory made - or am I mistaken ?

About 20 seconds in, he says this is George Fury.

Good to see some rotors on the gravel and some cool old Datsun's.

Yep George running the 120Y. I think a member on here now owns that car?

I remember the speedway at Bright fondly. Was a great place to spectate.

Dat2kman is the current custodian on the 'Y'.

And 'Portholes' in the Bluebird at the 1:48min mark - I need to ask Les if the LZ20 was it it at that time...

Fun fact - that bluebird shell was a JDM shell that Nissan Motorsport had started to prepare for rallying, until they decided to go circuit racing in '84 instead.

From memory Murray Coote's 1200 was a piece of engineering.

Greg Carr's 131 was and still is an amazing car. I saw it in Canberra at auto Italia last year. It is as it was run at this event dirt and all.

If you don't get your kicks from this you should not be on a motoring forum :-).

It amazes me how much a 240z can sound like those old Ferrari's.

I still watch this video from time to time (open exhaust so cheating, but that noise!)

That video makes me want to go for a drive up the Old Rd. Edited by PB260Z

Awesome, EP11 has been a long time coming.

Will sit back with a cuppa once I dropped the little one at Gymnastics.
