Ledge Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 First up Gav if you don't want this on here take it down. I will be fine with that as I understand the way it works. For some time my goal has been to get a 72 skyline. To some this may seem stupid but to others a dream. Ive been patiently waiting for a while ready to pull the trigger but the right car has finally become available for what I believe to be a sensible price, So the trigger was pulled. I will get some good pics up when the car rocks up, hopefully before Xmas but more than likely mid to late Jan. For now these small pics will have to do Cheers Quote
George Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 What are the plans for this one Paul? Just maintain and enjoy? Quote
d3c0y Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 This is the reason i'm trying to buy an automotive business too! Quote
Retro Z Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 You're living the dream Paul..living the dream. Quote
Ledge Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 To be honest after selling Patina Z ive missed just going for a cruise. Worked and saved hard to get this car and put off some renos so the missus aint super happy. I think for 12 months I will just drive and maintain. Really depends what it is actually like. Although I got alot of pics we all know pics hide stuff. The car was purchased new by an older farmer. Who barely drove it. The a bloke around my age purchased it and over many years done the gtr clone makeover. Apparently its only done 35000km. We will see I guess. Its not like I cant fix it. thanks lads Quote
zzzzed Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 You keep raising the bar knackers. I think I need to work harder Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted November 4, 2014 Moderators Posted November 4, 2014 Awesome acquisition Paul. I too would love one of these in the shed. You will enjoy just driving it for a while Cheers PB Quote
Cozza Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Great choce Mate. I too dream of a Hako in the shed along side the 240 and the 1600. Look forward to seeing some pics once she is home. Out if interest, who did you get it through? And how long have you been looking? I hope this build thread is allowed to stay, no doubt it will be a cracker. Mick Quote

CroS13 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Awesome!!!!!! I much prefer the boxy shape of the Hako to the S30 to be honest, probably why Ive owned 3 S13 Silvia's in the past instead of the 180sx. Id own a Hako over my zed any day of the week if i could afford it. Its good you have it now, i foresee the price of these things blowing WAAYYYYY out of proportion soon, and its already started. I first discovered them when Kevin bought one, and i followed his build over on JNC since the start. Back then I would troll through J-spec and import monster etc and you could get a 2000GT for about 25-30k... In a few short years, now they are all around the 40k mark. I'm positive that due to Alot of them going to America over the last few years has also drove up the price. I am truly Jealous!! Who did you import it through? and were there any other ones you considered as possible candidates? maybe others you bid on but lost? Rudolf. Quote
Yo-Yo Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 damn nice car mate, don't think any other colour suits the car really Might have to fork out a second mortgage before they get too out of my price range hahaha Quote
Ledge Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 Mick has won the internet. HA HA HA Ive wanted one since I saw Ash's car at the All Jap day a year or so ago. Never really considered it an option due to the whole import hassle. then a fellow zeder tells me him and his mate used to import stuff from japan and have a friend on the ground that owns a car yard n japan. So it was on, I gave them a baseline of what i wanted and how much i was happy to spend. many cars come and went, mostly due to them being stupidly expensive. Just as i was about to call it quits due to my race engine blowing up this car came along. so the race car engine will just have to wait. This was another car i was looking at Rudolf http://www.japan-vintage.com/stocklist/detail.php?stri=37345&stci=1205 All the others where way to expensive Cheers Paul Quote
