Hi Guys, I have 1 pair of King Springs part# KDRL - 09 taking up valuable shelf space in the garage: https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/st-clair/brakes-suspension/king-springs-kdrl-09-x1-pair/1106285691 was used to trial fit only so practically in unused condition. They dropped my rears on my 260z too much for my liking so I went with a different pair of springs - $50 Please check out king springs website to make sure this will suit your application, I cannot comment on fitment for anything other than a 260z please contact me on gumtree as I don't frequent these forums anymore. Cheers!

Cars For Sale (3rd Party Sites) Ebay, Carsales etc..
Yo-Yo replied to gav240z's topic in Cars For Sale
Sure is mate. She'll be on carsales soon too, just posted the ad Cheers Gav! The car actually won best JDM category at that show. I was surprised hahha You're not wrong there Partly the reason why I put a slightly aspirational sell price to begin but mostly to weed out the low-ballers LOL The mrs actually wants me to hold onto it, she loves it just as much as me. I had to man up and realise that between a growing family, our daily cars plus a classic car and a motorbike and only myself supporting all of it something had to give. No way I'll ever give up the bike -
You have PM

no problem, not in a rush, let me know when you get home

tried that, Can't find the right combo as it goes from larger diameter to smaller diameter and there's nothing suitable off the shelf. I'd have to get something special ordered

Hi, Chasing after a 280zx rubber intake hose that goes between the AFM to the manifold. I need the type that has no hole in the middle for another pipe, just direct pipe from afm to manifold.

haha that's being generous. I'd say 2/10 at best. Stupid premise to begin with, but did have a promising start to the movie, all downhill from there. Stupid plot twist & the ending left me saying "so what?" The movie left me very unsatisfied & I'm not hard to please when it comes to movies lol

I'm hoping the springs will be just right for my car as I've got later model 260z struts. Apparently early model 260z should go for 240z spring from what I've been told. Just a wait and see thing I guess. I'm looking for TC rods & bushes + Zcar63 is making up a set of adjustable control arms for me so I'll wait until I have all the parts before getting them fitted at a shop -

got the calipers out. Definitely 55mm shock body & tubes front & rear. So looks like I'll be getting KDFL-04 front & KDRS-09 rear king springs. KYB appear to have the easiest to source shocks for 260z/280z from all the places I've asked around. It's just a street car so they should be sufficient. Now looking into my options for front TC/castor rods Anybody have suggestions for where to source bushing replacements? I'd prefer rubber but all I can find so far are urethane. -
Must be. Looks exactly the same as in my '76

Yeah I wasn't too sure I was measuring right, I have a vernier caliper, should I be taking the measurements like in the first pic with the measuring tape? ie; in between the strut top & spring perch? -

so should I be getting the part#'s KDFL-08, KDRL-09? my car already looks like it's on stilts haha can't imagine it could go any higher. to be honest I'm more interested in getting some fresh legs under the thing, any height drop would be a bonus How have your KYB's held up so far? -

Thanks mate, I think I've seen a set posted by Gareth j? If it's the one I'm thinking they are very nice indeed. I took a few pics, hopefully this will help decode which ones I need. As you can see the suspension can definitely do with a freshen up -

Nothing wrong with stock ones really, but I'd like the ability to adjust the rears & I may as well get it all changed out at the same time. Will probably get some new Tension rods while I'm at it. If yours are adjustable on the rear I'm interested in talking price. Thanks for the heads up. Ebay is showing a set of koni reds to suit 240z/early 260z It is a bit of a strange one as the engine also has factory efi for a 1976 so I'm purely basing on year model for the suspension. Is there a way to be sure? Eg. can I just measure the circumference of the shocks or would I need to take out the suspension to get exact measurements? I tried tackling the spindle pins myself but was unsuccessful so I just bolted the rear back up to the tower Thanks for the advice & offers of help guys -
well done, she looks very clean indeed. is the central locking tied to an alarm system by any chance?

Hi everyone it's been a while since I posted up, caught up with work, uni & distracted by a new motorbike I'm ready to update the tired old 39 year old suspension (finally) & looking for some advice on the following shopping list: - I'm looking at Koni red shocks & King springs (KDFL-04 front & KDRS-09 rear) I'm hoping this will be a straight-forward "drop-in" option - New replacement bushings for the swaybars & tie rod/control rods etc. I might even dish out for a master bushing kit. - Front & rear Lower control Arms (any suggestions on where to get a set?) anything I have overlooked? Car is a '76 s30z (late model 260z equivalent) -
Oh noes! Already have something on that weekend Paid training course during the day that I can't reschedule or refund (yeah I know it's on a saturday. Go figure) Sorry brother, good luck on your big day mate!
