  1. There were some on Ebay a few months ago I believe.
  2. Me too! Not one single Subaru dealer in Melbourne has them in stock though
  3. I found some part numbers... Nissan Hex head half shaft bolts #PN 39628-E4100. Nissan half shaft nuts #PN 39627-N3000 Nissan half shaft spring washers #PN 08915-2401A. * Looks like Datsport carries these, I'll order from them at least I know I'll get the correct parts! Diff cover bolts are M10x1.25 30mm long Subaru R180 diff gasket (has a built in baffle to shield the breather and stop leaks under high load) #PN 38353AA050
  4. Mine are the originals so I thought I'd change to new bolts/nuts/washers when the 4.37 diff and new HD shafts go in. Thanks for the offer, I'll try Nissan.
  5. Does anyone know the sizes of the nuts and bolts used on the half shafts? Also after the size of the diff cover bolts too? I don't have access to my car at the moment. Thanks, Gareth.
  6. I've used hylomar on the head gaskets with great success in mine and my brothers cars. Fingers crossed it works!
  7. What were the O5L heads off Jason? Adam, I have one that was rebuilt many moons ago but I've measured it at 106mm?? Isn't that under minimum thickness? The other useable one was the head off my current L28 block, condition unknown, needs hot tanking etc. measures about 108mm. Both have had rockers, lash pads, retainers and cams removed.
  8. Good to know, thanks for the tip! I hear good things about the Koni Yellows, I have the koni reds in the rear and they are garbage.
  9. I have three, I'm not sure of the condition. I'll have a look at them tomorrow and PM you.
  10. Stuart Wilkins Motorsport or Nissan dealer?
  11. Looks sh!t hot Mick!
  12. I'm a maybe... If I get the diff back in I will be there.
  13. I'll put my hand up, us Mexicans have nothing on your entertainers http://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/world-reacts-to-sacked-cronulla-sharks-star-todd-carney-over-bubbling-photo/story-fndujljl-1226971805374
  14. Nice one Linton, that coupe is tidy and the Z is still looking great!
  15. No worries, hope it lasts until a better solution. Too much torque!
  16. I have some Z31 shafts you can have, they're of no use to me. Maybe you can mix n match to rebuild yours? http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,14348.0.html
  17. They'll come with paper front and back or sometimes clear plastic. You remove the back paper and apply the decal, the front paper keeps everything uniform and is removed after application.
  18. We'll do anything for a BBQ
  19. I picked only in summer, as it seems to go months between drives.
  20. With a lot of help I managed to get my hands on a 'K' series diff with 4.37:1 gearing. It's going to be fully rebuilt, the LSD from my current 4.11 will be swapped into the 4.37 and the 4.11 with an old open centre will go into my brothers 1600. I decided while I had the diff apart I would give the crown wheel and pinion an Isotropic Super Finish. It wasn't too expensive and should be very worthwhile on a heavily stressed part like this.
  21. Yes still for sale Bert.
  22. Is this a common a problem and is it more of an issue with R200 bars/diffs or R180?
  23. Get your 280zx dizzy rebuilt as it's probably in need of it anyway. Scorcher in Melbourne did mine, it now uses GM holden internals, rotor/cap and parts are cheap and readily available. The coil I use is a MSD Blaster HVC-II, it's the size of a brick but that's there most powerful coil.
  24. Regan, I'm not to sure on the launch control as I haven't used it. IIRC I believe it is switched, as in you switch it on in the cabin, revs are then held at the set point which you adjust (say 4,000rpm), you floor it with no change in the revs, then side step the clutch and the rev launch disengages to normal throttle control. It could be fun but it sounds very harsh to me, not ideal for old Datsun's! I'd go with Jason's, there's heaps of reports of recent failures on the newer chinese items! Didn't MSD move there production over there recently?
