  1. What a shame about the weather, I was looking foward to this, it's such a great event. There's absolutely no shelter at the venue and standing in the rain for 5hrs isn't very appealing. With rain like this I think it would be a very small turn out.
  2. Are the spacers different dimensions? I thought it was just the increased spline count and better metallurgy that made the 260z/280z type stronger. Although it's been a long time since I did mine. I tried getting wheel rear bearings just recently, tried SKF, BSC, CBC and Bursons. All had them available but none had the correct pairings. They were selling mismatched C3 & C4 bearings as kits listed for 240z/260z, OEM and Nissan factory manual list both rear inner/outer as C4 types which have a bigger clearance and therefore higher heat range. SW Motorsport can get the correct C4 types from Japan.
  3. Always room for fellow zedders ilbert. Lets hope for a clear/dry day, if it's heavy rain as predicted I'm definitely out.
  4. Weather looks shite. I'm a maybe
  5. Looks sick Ledge If you make to a Melbourne Xmas BBQ one day I'd love to go for a spin in the passenger seat!
  6. Some very interesting comments/info here, specifically page 8 post #156..... http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/48675-just-ordered-my-rebello-30-now-what/page-8
  7. You can leave it as is, I had the same head/block combo. It will have dished pistons so the comp ratio will be 8.3:1. Try fitting a 72 degree cam, it'll be a cheap way to make it a little more zippy.
  8. Great to see everyone again and meet some new people. Would've loved to have stayed longer. Thanks Gordo and family!
  9. +1 & Welcome also!
  10. I see what everyone means, although I am of the same view as Peter and would also prefer a separate thread for the international sales. Occasionally it's nice to see what they sell for but to me 'cars for sale etc.' should be in Australia only. How about 'Cars for sale OS etc.' then anything far and wide is fair game?
  11. yeah, he beat me by a few seconds!
  12. Looks like I should be able to make it. Any plans for a lunch time cruise? Anyone interested in meeting at the village green car park before driving out there?
  13. Ouch! I picked up my NOS item for $180 and I thought that was too much
  14. FCR's on an L-series crossflow
  15. Look forward to the updates Ledge
  16. Are these tested? Maybe mine is over priced, it's fully checked and I'd hate to sell one to later find out it's cracked. If it doesn't sell I'll just keep it as a spare. The LD28 and L28 cranks are virtually the same weight in stock form, IIRC my LD crank was 800 grams heavier when I weighed it. The stories about the LD crank and rods being much heavier aren't correct. I'll be building an L31 with the deisel crank, it won't be in the same ball park as the PMC 3.4 but it'll be just fine for me.
  17. Factory rally car in action Some great still shots of the car at the end, probably the best look most of us will get at one.
  18. Nice little feature on speedhunters http://www.speedhunters.com/2014/10/tin-top-tango-five-interesting-cars-from-wtac/#chapter-rb25det-powered-260z

    5 piece G-Nose

Otomoto has them for sale in Sydney. They are very nice quality and come with all the mounting hardware which will make installation much easier.
  20. Yes, still for sale. Originally I wasn't keen to ship it as I have no control on the condition it arrives in, but I'll give it a go. As far as protecting it to ship I had thought about bubble wrapping it and then putting it in some 100mm or so PVC tube. Sure that would keep it safe?
  21. Come to classic Japan Sam. The ballarat boys are going and quite a few more of us too.
  22. I got my 4.37 fitted today, according to my calcs with 225/50/16 wheels (rolling dia of 24.858267" which is the same as standard) and a 0.833 fifth my car will do 3346rpm at 110kph. Or 3057 at 100kph. The same wheel size with the standard L series 0.859 fifth gear will see you doing 3450rpm at 110kph. At 100 kph you should be doing 3153rpm. The acceleration is awesome!
  23. Sorry to hear the news Paul. I checked out the video, WOW that looks damn quick Here's hoping you come back bigger and better! Jason, What are the specs on the other car?
  24. I'm out Someone take some pics please, should be a great day for it. Enjoy!
  25. My 77 JDM import has the exact same spec interior as above. It also had the L20A six cylinder with emissions carbs.
