Moderators PB260Z Posted April 4, 2014 Moderators Posted April 4, 2014 This guy knows how to drive an s30. I personally never really got the drifting thing, that was until i went for few hot laps with a guy who really knew his stuff . An amazing experience. Quote
zzzzed Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Drifting is cool to watch but I am not sure about it as a sport. Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted April 17, 2014 Administrators Posted April 17, 2014 Road kill I think this quote sums it up best. CosmoxYRik1 day ago This ticks so many boxes. You've offended both classic car guys and Nissan fans by bastardising a C10 motor into a classic Datsun. You committed the sacrilege of bolting a Ford turbo to Chev motor. You offended everyone at an American classic car event by turning up in an unroadworthy import, and then went against the spirit of autocrossing by using raw horsepower as a substitute for actually setting the car up properly. For extra redneck value you've got the dump pipe through the bonnet blowing smoke skywards like a big old Kenworth. When you were done getting lost or dumping race gas all over the track, this terrible rusted out shitheap of a car added insult to injury by actually beating most of them. Well played boys, well played. Quote
Six_Shooter Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 For the record, I'm not offended the sum of the parts used in that car, I plan on a GM V6 swap myself. As it is I have a GM turbo bolted to my Nissan engine, which is also being run by GM electronics, along with some bastardized Ford intercooler cores, a Mitsubishi BOV and Ford injectors, among other mismatched parts... sydney mike Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I could, and have been watching these all day! Late '60's and early '70's Japanese motor racing. The S30's are around the 6min mark on the video(GT class). Interestingly, in the uploader's comments, the 432 was third behind two 240z's. http://youtu.be/_PS9K7t68HQ cheers, Mike. Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted May 22, 2014 Administrators Posted May 22, 2014 To continue with my Safari Gold obsession here is a Fairlady Z-L in the same hue with triple Mikuni's and the red rocker cover . Why does nobody run air filters when they have Triples, it can't be good for the motor? Quote

Other than aesthetics I have never why you would spend all that money on a setup then not protect it with air filters ? or is there another benefit ? Quote
Six_Shooter Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 For the amount of time these cars are driving or ran, it probably won't make a difference. I have ran some of my cars without filters for long periods of time, months to years as daily drivers, usually shit boxes, but daily drivers none-the-less. Honestly, if it wasn't for fear of something damaging the impeller on my turbo, I'd probably run filter-less now. Quote
d3c0y Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Pretty hard on the valves though and what if a car infront of you runs through a big patch of dust. I have seen the results on an engine i've done this to, it definitely increases wear. Quote

Moderators PB260Z Posted June 12, 2014 Moderators Posted June 12, 2014 S30Z with RB26 and R32 dashboard. Very nice and a lot of hard work has gone into it. Personally I would not have changed the dash, the original Z dash is one of the things I like about Z's Quote
