theremm Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Lots of cool japanese classics in this. A long watch and gets kind of repetitive, and not so sure about the music selection! But lots of good porn http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/2015/08/20/video-oka-no-blume-meeting-2015/ Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted September 18, 2015 Administrators Posted September 18, 2015 http://www.carstuffshow.com/podcasts/the-datsun-fairlady/ Now this isn't a video, it's a podcast and yes it contains a lot of repeated errors and too much emphasis on the US market and Mr K, they also mentioned "The War". But what they did mention is the Miss Fairlady - which I didn't know much about and then looked it up and found this post on JNC. http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/2012/08/10/the-origins-of-nissans-ginza-gallery-and-miss-fairlady/ Then I remembered the photo of HS30 00063 from back in the day. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/13773-early-girl-bingo-with-photos/ So I am guessing she was a "Miss Fairlady" who would have known quite a bit about the specifications of the S30z. Administrators gav240z Posted October 7, 2015 Administrators Posted October 7, 2015 Sadly I want to know what was the original video for that soundtrack. Nothing compares to the sound of a 4 rotor. Quote
Six_Shooter Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) Sadly I want to know what was the original video for that soundtrack. Nothing compares to the sound of a 4 rotor. this isn't where the sound clips came from for that video, but I was looking up 240Z videos on Youtube to get some ideas for making a video of my own and came across this car: Edited October 12, 2015 by Six_Shooter gav240z 1 Quote
CBR Jeff Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I like the look of this car. The wheels, stance and general theme are very original. Video is light on mechanical information, entertaining never the less. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted October 12, 2015 Administrators Posted October 12, 2015 Yeah that was a good video and looks like a fun event. Not sure why it was referenced as a 1972 260z at the start then referred to as a 240z later? Weird. Quote
CBR Jeff Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 (edited) What can be said? Another ripper from the people at Petrolicious. It's a right hooker!!! Edited October 14, 2015 by CBR Jeff gav240z and 4evaS30 2 Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted October 22, 2015 Administrators Posted October 22, 2015 Rocket bunny S30z? Oh noes.... Now every hipster is going to tell me to put a rocket bunny kit on my S30z's. More good S30z's will succumb to the latest hipster trend... Let them have all the Silvia's they want, just leave the S30z alone. Quote
Riceburner Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Have to agree also, all that great work and then it's ruined with the Rocket Bunny body kit Is it just me or all those body kits exactly the same? Quote
George Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 You boys should write them a stern letter and tell them how to spend their money. Quote
CroS13 Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 hey at least he isn't LS swapping it........ Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted October 22, 2015 Administrators Posted October 22, 2015 You boys should write them a stern letter and tell them how to spend their money. I don't care how they spend their money. It is more the fact he is a Fast and Furious celebrity and now lots of young impressionable Adults are going to want to emulate it. I guess swings and round-a-bouts. It will keep the economy going and all that. Some kid will buy a rust bucket s30z won't worry about doing to body correctly. Just slap a rocket bunny kit on it. Slam it on whatever the latest trend for big wheels is, give it a lick of paint and it will be featured on every hipster website. Where another bunch of kids will think gee I should do that too. Then some poor bastard is going to have to undo all those hacks and restore it properly in another 10 years. So like I say it will drive the economy through misappropriated spending haha. Yes I sounds like a bigger old fart and I'm not even old. But said kid will jump in here start asking a bunch of silly questions, will basically act like kryptonite to the social fabric of the community and will swing in and out faster than a barn door in a hurricane. How's that? Quote
brent012 Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Honestly, I think people who didn't know much about S30s before would look more into them and probably find they prefer the period "JDM" style modifications, ZG or even closer to original. I think the cost of an s30 is quite prohibitive for a bandwagoner to buy. There'll no doubt be questions about whether the rocket bunny kit will fit a 2+2 though. Quote
