handsandwhich Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Convertible and towbar, I wonder what's been done underneath to strengthen it. Quote
KatoKid Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Very rare and Historic.....yeah right. Quote
MATTY Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 That convertible Zed's been an on again off again item for a while now...... Makes you wonder what the hell were they thinking :/ Quote

It's an auto, but that shouldn't deter anyone too much. Has anybody been to check it out? Quote

It's an auto, but that shouldn't deter anyone too much. Has anybody been to check it out? Think I remember seeing it listed for sale a couple of years ago, in Geelong. Not sure if it's a different owner in Geelong or new owner? I'd be a bit scared to look under the paint on it. It at least looks reasonably complete. Not sure who thought that pin striping was a good idea around the rear quarter? Quote
KatoKid Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 I'd be a bit scared to look under the paint on it. It at least looks reasonably complete. Agree with Gav on this. Only really easy to see rust in the photo's is in the rear hatch and it doesn't look that good so the rest would be suss. Having said that it looks like a genuine and complete car so for the right price would be an excellent start. Quote
cracker Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Sold for $6200... (not to me) Hopefully it's a forum member, and hopefully no nasty rust is found! Quote

KatoKid Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Geeze Tom, your quick! A mate sent me the link to this story earlier today. I could say only in America but that wouldn't be fair because it could happen here (not a Z owner of course). Quote

Not sure on engine, 'cause it says v8, then its tubo, then its twin carb, then it comes with spare injection gear? But it has an interesting grill and driving lights at the front. unfortunate colouringNo way, I love the brown coloring. Looks great with a ton of chrome. Some nice HQ-Zs statesmans etc with that color too. Quote

curtis 240z Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 That 260z is one of my old cars, I only sold it to him last year. It's not a bad car and drove well but I know from owning it would STRONGLY recommend having a look at it before you by it always looked alot better in photos. Quote

MickieB Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Yeah one of the girls at L&H electrical wholesalers in Glenvale has a 2+2 that looks ok. I have been looking heaps for a barn find around here and out west around Roma, no luck so far. Even put ads in trading posts out there, got no replies. Quote
MATTY Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 well that adds another one to the list , ive been looking for a another 260 but a later model 2+2 for a parts car my self but even still nothing of suitable use has come up, i guess they are a dying breed :'( Quote
