That white 432 is mint. Gav, love the rims too plus its ride height is perfect. Would it be stock or dumped a little??

I'm not an expert on standard ride height but it does look lowered slightly.

74 model Fairlady Z for sale.

http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/l327606784

Starting at: 2,380,000 yen

Notice the 2 knob Rally Clock? Even though this car looks like our market "260z" in terms of its updates like rear lights and dashboard changes. They still got the 2 knob Rally Clock before switching to the single knob Calendar clock later.

Also notice, the Fairlady Z mesh grille, radiator shroud, 8 track head unit.

Early S30z for sale in Japan.

http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/v437873966

Current price: 600,000 yen

Google Translate.

It becomes two-seater part removing restore base with documents. It is de-normal than unusual steering shift knob in the Z. Wanteru, rear gate, vertical heat ray glass, etc., making it the previous year specification to use the genuine parts. Bonnet, F bumper become FRP. Lack of grill you know, bumper stay, bonnet stay? Otherwise, it is be some. Please check the image. Vehicle overall is worn out, but I have taken on-site travel confirmation. Brake is of course useless. Rust, rot, is the large number hole. Vehicle information details we will later allowed to postscript. Such a special and vehicle for a status quo, no claim, no return, please.

I think "Wanteru" is a bad translation for early or previous (zenki).

Gav,

"Wanteru" ("Wan Teru") is actually a typically Japanese contraction and Katakana-isation of a (Japanese) English term:

It comes from 'One Tail', meaning one/single tail light (on each side) rather than the - later - divided tail lights seen '73-on.

So it's simply a vernacular term to identify the '69~'73 tail lamp and rear finisher shape.

Thanks Alan, I was always trying to work out what it meant. I did see it often mentioned with early S30z tail lights, so I thought maybe it meant turn signal. But thanks for clarifying.

Yeah, that's odd. Bit hard to tell with the rust, but it seems to have the 260Z (era, I know it's a Fairlady) bumper shock mount holes and flat top carbs but the 240Z style tail lights and hatch vents.

The description says it's a 75 model so I assume it's a later S30z not an earlier car. Interior trim is all later, so much more likely the tail lights and hatch were swapped over.

I guess that's what they explained in this bit:

Nick that Blue Fairlady Z in Ireland is a car I saw in person and it was not a restoration job.

It was in driver condition, good for its age but doesn't look to have changed much since I saw it.

30k Euro is probably a bit high for it. However there are only a handful of S30z's in Ireland.

Less than 20 at a guess. I knew of about 10.

1973 Datsun 240z also known as the "Fairlady".
This is an all original Z for a collector with factory paint, air conditioning, 4-speed transmission, numbers matching engine, interior.
The car runs and drives really well. The original "Steelie" wheels have been professionally restored and fitted with a new set of Goodyear tires and rare letter "D" hub caps.
The car has new shocks, struts, bushings. It tracks straight, true. Carburators were recently rebuilt. New rear main seal, plugs, wires, distributor cap, points, condensor, clutch master & slave, clutch, resurfaced flywheel, fuel pump, water pump.
Included with the car is the original key, tool kit, jack, manual, spare tire, a set (4) slotted mags with tires, louvers, dealer contract from 1974, misc. receipts / records.

Value for these cars have been climbing really steady, and they have finally received the praise they deserve including being a hot auction item, and the "up and coming" classic title. With that being said concours collector Z's are selling for 25+. This is a survivor with patina, paint bubbles here / there.

1970 Datsun 240z (Fairlady) Survivor for Sale (8/70 build date) Series 1. This car was rarely driven and has been in storage for quite some time. I believe it has 126,967 miles and it shows. The original interior seats are in great shape. Fuel tank was bled and a fresh tank of fuel has been run through the engine. The car starts right up. Carbs were cleaned and it idles smooth and engine runs/revs strong but it drives a bit rough, needs new bushings. Registered in my name and tags good through April. Even the engine bay light still works. I had the car detailed, new carpet over sound mat and fluids replaced topped off. Includes original tools behind the seats.

NO RUST
ALL ORIGINAL
COMPLETE
FIRST YEAR OF PRODUCTION

No tire kickers, no trades, no joy rides, cash in hand gets it, See the photos, they were taken yesterday.
