Its the initial outlay cost, Build cost isn't the issue as that will be covered over time. I am building a 2+2 at the moment so I do understand build costs involved its just I have always wanted a 240z to put back to stock (big plans for the 2+2 though). I have spent over 10k in parts so far in parts for the 2+2 and she isn't even full stripped yet.

Green one would be out of the price range I think. It was hard enough to convince the wife to let me dip into the savings for this one. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Hope it goes to a good home.

Looks like the car is going to Melbourne as he has had 2 better offers from guys down there. Unless they fall through before Sunday arvo I won't be getting it as I will pull my offer then.

I will fill in some more of the story tomorrow after I know what's going on. I was disappointed when he told me he was taking offers until I came to pick it up as it went from the joy and also nervousness knowing I was finally getting a 240z to that sinking feeling all in 24 hours. I have met the guy a couple of times and still think he is a good guy because I know the circumstances behind it all. I'm not too confident I will get it tomorrow as it will just be my luck the way the week has gone so I'm trying to not get too worked up over it until I am on my way down there tomorrow.

She is rusty but what zed isn't in that price range. Well there will be a project thread started over the weekend if I get it if not I hope it goes to a good home. He is a good guy but looking at going on a holiday in the near future and there is a lot of centimental value in it for him so just chasing what he can get. I would be down there tomorrow to pick it up but last I heard he was busy all day so Saturday is the only option. Hopefully things are on my side and we have another zed getting restored on the forums.

I was same boat my car is a 77 and 2+2 but I am picking up a 240z hopefully on Saturday.

260Z 2+2 front RH fender, has been cut up a bit for metal sections. FREE to anyone that can use it 260Z engine bay wiring loom, 90% complete, missing fuseable link box and some other bits 260Z vented bonnet, rust along front edge and around vents 260Z front LH fender, has rust in bottom corner and has been bogged up at the front from a previous accident but still looks fine and sugar scoop bolts on LH and RH sugar scoops Just to let others know these parts have now been sold and picked up.

I will be running an after market ecu with a L28ET so hopefully this speed sensor will work out. That was my only problem with that other kit I don't think it did speed sensor. Take your time buddy my car is prolly 5 years off being finished.

with the way the Aus dollar has gone I would be more interested in sourcing something local. Keep me updated 600z on how things pan out.

I thought Patch ended up getting rid of the bodies awhile back? I know I was interested in them but something maybe me forget about them which is normally the fact they sold but I may just be getting more forgetful. Good luck in finding the roof, there have been a few pop up here and there but its one of those things that normally takes time unless your really lucky.

This is helpful as I was about to be chasing the same info as I only want to take my block to 88mm (f54 block) as I am staying turbo and wanting a forged bottom end.

I didn't see the body difference between them until I purchased the 2+2. I love my 2+2 but still dream of a 2 seater.

Wish I could get him Mark. If you were interested in my R32 I would swap in a heartbeat. Hope Oscar gets a great new home and I didn't think you would actually go through with this.
