Haha you are right I didn’t scroll high enough sorry man. I have seen those belts before used in the US market but a few people I have spoken to said we didn’t get that design here (which sucks as I like that design). Been searching car sales to see if any cars have original belts for a 73 in them. I know they won’t be retractable like my 77 but the search continues but what I have been told they are 3 point like those ones but I think a single clip not click into each other .

Gilltech, I was very keen on those belts you sent but I have been informed we didn’t get that style here so will have to keep searching.

I will have to search into it but they replace the whole webbing and use the original hardware. I would assume the webbing would have to confine to ADRs so that should be ADR tested and tagged.

Hey guys. Unsure how I will go with this search but need a complete set of original belts for a 1973 240z including buckles as well. I will be getting the belts reconditioned so if anybody has a set laying around I am keen to grab them and pay postage. Cheers

Would you consider selling just the parts carb? I have a set of triple 40mm solex carbs and the one thing slowing me down getting them running is one is missing the choke mechanism.

Man it would be a fun project to build. Would take awhile but would be massively rewarding at the end.

Hey guys, does anybody have a spare drivers fender in decent condition? I'm located in Logan but could swing postage for a decent fender. Got no problem going for a drive to grab one either.

The R888 had been discontinued from last check and replaced with the R888R which from memory isn't as good in the wet and more focused on dry conditions. I am looking into the Hankook Ventus RS4 which should be released in the next few months in sizes 195x50x15, 225x45x15 and 245x40x15.

Carbs now back up for sale for the discounted price as it's carbs only now. Also $50 donation to the website from the sale.

I can't see anywhere that I purchased these with the intent to rebuild..... They came with my car and I was holding onto them for a future L24 but now that I have secured a set of triple 40mm solex carbs I will be using those instead. As I mentioned before rebuild cost would depend on what you can do yourself or if you are farming them out to somebody else. I think that estimate of $800 could be close but I don't know, I can tell you that my 40mm solex are going to cost me at least $1200 to get rebuilt by one of the best solex rebuilders in the country and they are missing some parts and will look like new when done but in saying that I can't say the same will carry over to who you use to rebuild the dellortos. In saying that, to rebuild yourself I honestly think even with getting some new jets it could be done for less than half that cost but when asking for a price on a rebuild and not providing information on if you can do it yourself or are looking at a shop to do it I think my answer covered your question quite well or at least better than replying with "between $0-$100 000". You will be very hard pressed to find a set of used carbs that aren't sold with a disclaimer saying you should rebuild them, I think the only situations where they won't be sold with that disclaimer is when they have just been rebuilt or when the seller doesn't care. Either way I am looking at splitting this up. I have put the other carb back together now so will sell it complete with the others a little further down the track.

rebuild cost all comes down to if you can do it yourself or willing to or if you want to pay somebody to do it.

Just wanted to ad to this that I have also gone the Lincoln 180c. I couldn't find the 15-10amp lead but they did have a junction box version that I grabbed instead. Haven't tested it yet as I was waiting for my gas bottle to come in and I have never welded before so trying to sort one of my boiler maker mates to come teach me. I am going to price up a dedicated 15 amp power point as well because my fuse box is in my garage so the point would only be a few meters from it on the same wall.

Hey guys I'm chasing a L28 turbo manifold. I have one here already that is causing some issues with my ITB manifold and I am thinking it could be due to diamond shape ports in the manifold and not square. If you have a square port manifold I'm highly interested as I don't wanna keep chopping away at my intake to try make it work if I don't have to. Cheers
