  1. Does anybody know what the original colour stain would be? I will be doing my steering wheel in the near future and would like to get as close to original as I can.
  2. well as mentioned I am after all 3 fair lady badges and I know you said you had a lot of interest in them so please keep me updated.
  3. I haven't got a reply yet but was after the fairlady badges.
  4. Email sent. I'm assuming you accidently added an extra "y" in the email address as well.
  5. What's the interior trim like and what colour (don't need seats or roof lining)?
  6. This was posted by Scoota awhile back. This is straight off my 75 260Z Tyre placard 5jX14 with two tyre sizes 175 hr 14 Maximum load 1230 lbs 195 10vr14 Maximum load 1280 lbs
  7. I can't because i am in love with the car you want somebody to look at and the misses won't let me have it.
  8. I do remember the car and the 24k price tag he was chasing for it. I wouldn't say no to it and spend some time building it, she is looking a little rough around the edges now.
  9. Input is always great but if you do follow through on the input it will ultimately be your choice because you have to decide that's the direction you want to take. I find parts more often controll the path I take as the original idea was a big NA L28 build with triple carbs and such but the L28 I was looking at got sold with a car and now I have a L28ET on the way.
  10. Scoota I'm sure can fix anything
  11. I just double checked the covers and what I was told were nissan ones are actually after market ones from the UK it would appear. But those mounts seem to work well.
  12. I am soo tempted but just got a set.
  13. The chrome trim covers I would screw on anyway as the lens and cover mount through the same hole. My nissan headlight covers I got here as well come with a L bracket to mount inside on the nose cone and they recommend screwing or using double sided tape on the bracket. The large flat area is the nose cone side and the little threaded nutsert is for the cover to mount to. Wouldn't be hard to knock up your own mounts if you don't have them.
  14. Still waiting on the engine to turn up with some more parts but hey this should keep me entertained for awhile
  15. My 260z has L26 170289 which I am pretty sure is the matching engine for it. I have a spare rebuilt block sitting here which is L26 007809 (That block is now sold).
  16. Can you post a picture of them fitted? Was thinking of getting a set until I can afford my 16" Watanabes.
  17. If funds weren't an issue at the moment I would take it. Got my L28ET turning up in the next month or so.
  18. already got my set off Scoota and should hopefully look at starting to fit them tomorrow but that depends on how long it takes me the hack the yard up first.
  19. I have been eyeing off the rally clocks but saving for my turbo L28 first
  20. I know a guy down the Gold Coast which does some great work and has his own 240z that he wants to build for Targa Tas. His name is Chris and his company is called Lloyds Paintworks and can be contacted on 0416 406 303.
  21. I got some parts off warren in the new year (after a little bit of a wait but that was fine). Email isn't much good but I did get a response after some wait but him and his wife went on holidays so didn't get my emails over christmas/new years until they opened the shop again. Warren does other work on the side as well (hydraulics i think) so he maybe busy doing some random work as well.
  22. Why is it so hard to convince the wife on this. Sure I have the 2+2 but in a couple of months this could be on the road leaving the 2+2 for a long term project.
  23. Looks like I have the guy who is cutting my fenders
  24. Is there better ways to go? Sure there is but you don't own an old car like this for comfort or economical reasons. It's the feeling you get being behind the wheel, that smile on your face that you can't help when you turn the key, those moments you find yourself looking at it in amazement. If you can have that everyday, why not go for it? In saying that I have a work ute as my daily, the R32 Skyline is the weekend car or when I am on holidays becomes my daily (love it) and when the zed is finished it will replace the R32.
  25. I got the Nismo LMGT3 rims on my R32 cleaned up by Wheel Revolution and they did a great job. Located on Moss Street and they are very helpful down there just when I was there they didn't have eftpos so you had to walk upto shell and take money out
