  1. Hi Locky, could the SW pipes be straightened out? It may be worth trying to save them. How would you go about straightening out dings in headers? Cheers
  2. After looking at factory drawings and talking to a few people, 2+2s did not have the boots, hope this helps those with 2+2s!
  3. Why do you run E85 Paul? Is it because it burns cooler/put more fuel through the engine? Looks awesome:)
  4. I thought I read in a thread somewhere that late 240 auto and manual tailshafts were identical, so will be interested if someone can confirm that they are different.
  5. Yep St.Leonards now has 2 classes up and running, Tuesday and Wednesday. It will run to the end of the year, but is uncertain beyond that.
  6. What did you do for your 2+2 Peter? I am chasing a set for a 2+2. The roof has suffered heavily as a result of their not being there. Cheers
  7. Keep it and sell the blue one if you have to, can't use a zeds potential on the road anyway
  8. Where do you get the red oxide from? Can you paint over it? Cheers
  9. Firewall number is your chassis no. Aluminium plate is the Australian compliance plate. Engine Id plate should be on Lhs of engine bay but is not essential. Some us models got an extra vin on the dash, luckily we didn't as it looks ridiculous Cheers
  10. Prob easiest to get a professional restorer to wheel up a patch panel and repair the hole if you are worried about making a mess of it. Large flat panels are quite hard as the risk of warping them when welding in new sections is high. Even with a mig down on a low setting you can still warp flat panels.
  11. Hi all, Wondering if anyone has one of these in good condition, mine is a bit broken and wanted to fit one. Cheers
  12. Are all the connectors they use the same as original? Would have thought the connectors would be hard to get. Cheers
  13. I thought so but can't seem to see it. Will have a closer look
  14. Hi guys, Is the bonnet release knob removable or do I need to prise the cable out of the lower bonnet catch bracket to remove the cable Assy? Cheers
  15. Realised this too today. Got over it pretty quickly when I reminded myself of my earlier conclusion that the racing these days is rubbish anyway. f1 now is a joke, ridiculously stage managed, forcing you to use the wrong tire for one stint, no fuel stops, the cars are heavy hybrids and sound rubbish with lap times slower than they were in 2004 and half the power of the 80's turbo cars. Much the same story with V8s, heavily stage managed, heavy, heavy cars, forced pit strategy and short races rather than one big race on a Sunday. Give me a group A skyline or Cosworth Sierra any day. Calling a race a 500 and splitting the distance into a host of smaller races is not a 500. A 500 is one big race on a Sunday, with one driver driving, like nascar. Decided to go outside and spend time on a real car (the Z) where I Would not be subjected to the mediocrity of modern Motorsport. Endrant
  16. Thought you might have, I expect you might get a few enquiries on that one
  17. How did you do the radiator support panel Locky - did you make it up or salvage it from somewhere? Looks good, I kind of like the bronze. Cheers
  18. Good idea Gav, keep us posted. Are you converting the clocks to a quartz movement or keeping them original? I suspect I may require his services some time in the future, where is zclocks based? Cheers
  19. How much does it cost to rebuild a standard Jeco clock Gav. I'm sure he'd never run out of Z clocks to rebuild because they always stop working lol
  20. Yep original would be zinc or yellow zinc
  21. Hi Gav, those screws may be the same as those which retain the hinges to the rear hatch. You may be able to raid some of them from one of your rear hatches, then get them replated. NOS or OEM Fasteners from eBay US are expensive by the time you get them shipped here. Cheers
  22. Can you post a few pics of the rust areas? It will be difficult to find a good shell below 5k, may be worth fixing what you have over time. Cheers
