R and L are different to allow for beam adjustment so you will need to specify which side you need I think the connectors may be different between 240 and 260 too

The Gumtree ones may be suitable, you may want to check with your panelbeater if they are salvageable though, looks like too much heat has been put into them in welding in the repair patches, plus a lot of dings

Do they ever run that class at EC? I think they run marque sports, but that is more restrictive.

Hi guys, wondering if anyone has a spare electric fuel pump lying around they don't need. Just need it to drain fuel tanks so as long as it is simple (two wires) and works anything is fine. Let me know what you have. Cheers

I'm with Rudi, if you are taking it back to bare metal anyway then #3 might fit the bill, depending on price. 10K should get you a half decent shell, 2-8K buys a rust bucket. Cheers

If the holes in the floors aren't that big you will probably be better off making up a patch and repairing that. The firewall rust is a big problem (depending if you want to fix it to pass rego in Vic, NSW is pretty tough when it comes to rust). To fix that you would prob want to pull the engine out and repaint the engine bay once the rust work is done. Check the battery tray area too for rust.

Think it is like the ones Gav posted, its a dark metallic, that last one looks like a solid and isn't that dark. I like the color in the first pic Gav posted, think it is closest to that.

I thought it was a darker purple color, think they used to have a pic up on zhome but took it down. I love purple on zeds, would be tempted to get a liter of #362 to see what it looks like. Would have to be the rarest zed color, never seen a registered one. You could always redo it in #362. Nice looking zed. Cheers

There are also fine mesh filters that clip on the intake stacks, that could be a good option too.

Hi Gav, rather than cutting the plastic around the rusted screw you could try a small diamond burr on a dremel to grind it out? I was going to try this method. Cheers

There was an eBay seller selling the housings new in Australia a shortish time ago. When you put new lenses on I would also go to 316 stainless screws as the plated ones all rust out. Think the screws are M3.5 though and I have not been able to find a supplier for them in stainless. Cheers

Hmm looks like I might need to leave a bigger gap rather than get stuff to fit too snug! I tried the trick with cooling stuff down with the compressed air blow gun straight after I mig it and that seems to work pretty well, takes the heat out of it pretty quickly, beats standing around waiting for it to cool down after every few tacks!

Nice work Locky When you cut out patches do you make them slightly undersize to prevent warpage when you butt weld them in? Noticed that there is a small gap around 1mm around them. What are your plans for the bus? Stock daily? Is she an auto or a manual? Good to see another light blue bus saved. Let me know what you do for the rubbers on the 2+2 as I have been looking for where to source these. Cheers

Hey Gav, some of the good ones are old Sykes-pickavant (SP), not new SP stuff, Elora and Stahlwille. The latter two are German made but are expensive (but high quality that should last a lifetime). Cheers
