  1. Welcome... As for the shorts, and if the fuses are blown, just look at all the wiring and look for something that doesn't look right. There must be wiring that's rubbing on the chassis metal to be causing that. Auto electrics aren't really that hard..just need patience and a test light!
  2. I loved that "oh, I forgot someting"..hahaha. Its like you found that 240Z between the couch cushions! Excellent score I must say.
  3. Daniel is right again, a hotter cam during winter would help keep the engine warmer too. Perfect for those real cool mornings.
  4. Or hatch rust with some metal.
  5. Finger licking good...KFC style.. Dale, can you wait till the meeting for the suspension arms?
  6. You may have to get one from the US; shipping is a killer but you may end up with a pretty good one.
  7. I think anything that removes a flat surface from out of the airstream will have a positive result on the CD figure (lowering that is). Two headlights that are almost flat would have some resistance in the air.
  8. Remove the scuttle panel and check your wiper arm mechanism; probably has fallen apart. Remove the wiper arms and then the 4 screws across the front then slide it out and up.
  9. Funny thing happened when I put a battery in to start the engine... the battery almost fell through the body! hahaha
  10. I'll do my best to be there... address again as Bruce displayed: Jag Car Club 23 Rosalie Street Springvale 3171 Melways 80 A8 Near Springvale train station; you will see a servo on the corner of Springvale and Rosalie and about 2-300 meters down on the left a carpark full of zeds.
  11. Easy way to find out if it's the thermostat, next time it gets hot, feel the top and bottom radiator hose; if there is a major difference in temp between the two, you may have a stuffed thermostat. I once fitted a new Tridon brand one in a Bluebird I had... drove a few kays and I could hear the coolant boiling in the radiator. turns out it was jammed shut from new! Took it out and drove and was able to get it back home although alot cooler than it should be.
  12. Woohoo! Reminds me when I bought my second Z32; came from Japan with locknuts but no tool Had to make my own. Three hours later, removed the first three, broke on the fourth, 3 hours later all four off!
  13. Dom, I found one; just have to test fit it and see!
  14. Just curious, never had to remove anything attatched with Sikaflex..how would you remove it? Heat? chemicals? I was going to use rivnuts to install but glueing saves holes being drilled.
  15. You've come to the right place...
  16. Didn't think it would be such a headache! Might have to stick some 240Z Hitatchi's on there and the L26.
  17. If you contact Nissan, they have approved the L28 to be fitted in the 240/260Z. When I had the RB installed, I chased all this info up and Nissan haven't approved for the RB to be installed..yet. Contact Nissan (I'm assuming head office) and ask them for that letter.
  18. Found a nice vid of some NA EFI RB20 / RB30 carbed engines being compared; a bit old but a good view for anyone thinking about this sort of setup. The first car was how I wanted my RB to go and sound like but never got that far! Worth a look! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-c-nYpic6A&feature=related
  19. Another Welcome, Do you do the MSCA sprints or other? Pics would be great...
  20. Give "Toperformance" a call in Vermont, Melbourne. Just tell them what insert and what diameter strut tube and they should have them. If you are stuck, I have a small collection but which type do you need?
  21. Not sure and I'm in Moorabbin. How does $40 sound? Number is 0413.243.760
  22. Got some original complete wipers even with the worn out blades!
  23. I've done it many times with thermostat housings etc and never apply too much pressure; just enough to remove any old gasket material and that's it. Never had any issues of warped / leaking housings.
  24. Main reason for my battery location change was just to keep the battery away from the heat; heat kills everything..
