Yes , I get that as well. An add covering parts of the text. Annoying.

Back in the 90's I had a Nissan EXA and it was like driving a slot car. Low and quick. Not a power monster but who wants to lose a license these days. On warm nights it was great to remove the top and cruise. Definitely one of my favourite cars that I have owned.

Let me know when you're moving in Gav and I will make the road trip from out west. I'll also bring the beer and barbeque packs. Save me a parking place. David.

Hi Elvis, Spectre make a polished aluminium low profile hat for the carby that can be attached to an air-cleaner with a cold air pickup in front of the radiator. I have an L28 with a 4 barrel EFI with this setup. No clearance problems at all. The hat is less than 3'' (75mm) high.

Well done Jeff. Looking forward to seeing some colour on the car. Sounds like you should stop cooking for Mrs Jeff. Lol. Hope she recovers quickly so you can get back to the shed. Keep up the good work. Regards David. -
Adam, These books are like a reference guide Bible and are not that expensive. I can't imagine anyone parting ways with their copy. Good luck if you can get a secondhand one. Just buy online. Regards David

Hello Guys, I came upon this on Hybrid Z by accident. An Ignition module for converting your existing distributor. You can disconnect the vacuum advance and lock the mechanical advance and programme the distributor on a laptop computer. Handy for old distributors (especially if the vacuum advance diaphragm is stuffed) or if you want to keep the original look. Will fit 4, 6 and 8 cylinders, good for 10,000rpm, programmable vacuum and mechanical advance. $200.00 usd. https://www.cbperformance.com/product-p/2013.htm

I was just being silly Alan. Actually I remember that we had a Vauxhall family car when I was a kid in the early 60's. Lol.

"Shirley the deciding factor on body kit/body panel legality (apart from good taste...) will be the rules and regulations of the races the car is going to be entered in?" I've got to ask it. "Who's Shirley" Sorry . Couldn't resist it.

Back in the days before GoPro. Just tape a small Japanese cameraman to the side of the car and try to make him shite himself Seriously though. When Alan Jones won the world F1 championship in 1980 driving a Williams, he and Carlos Rheutiman (not correct spelling) had the same cars. Carlos kept blowing up gearboxes. Alan was much better at looking after the car. Unfortunately these days with computers and Telemetry the driver is really only steering the car. I don't mean to say that they don't have talent. I'm just old school and prefer to see the driver and car working together without all of the newer technology. Great video Peter David

Hi Linus, Yes. I did the conversion in 2004 but have all the original parts if I ever want to convert it or sell complete. Still sitting in the shed waiting for the FiTech EFI to be finished at the moment. Too many projects and not enough time to complete any of them. Yesterday I did a bit of work on the new engine, aligning the Isihara up and down crank scapers. As for your car though. They only came with the flat top carbs. It would be interesting to know if any engine mods were done when the British 2" carbs were fitted.. I have a couple of sets. One set with a modified manifold that I bought of James Flett a couple of years ago. He used to have them on a race car. They do look good. Cheers

Interesting. Looks like it has been upgraded to British 2" carbs. I wonder if the gearbox has been changed or if just the grip has been changed. This would be a keeper.

www.roundtopsfuelsystems.com Just came upon this round top carb supplier on Hybrid Z. Based in the USA, brand new British SU carbs jetted for Zed cars with linkages. $999.00 usd for the Zed kit. Doesn't fit with the original air cleaner but they are in the process of designing an adapter to suit. Always handy to have extra suppliers. David.

Hi George, Keep up the magnificent work. Instead of laser cutting of the Nitrile sheet I would check with high pressure water cutters. I have had high density foam cut with the water cutters before and the cut was perfect. Just needed to dry them afterwards. With the Nitrile sheets it won't be a problem as these are used to cut steel and aluminium etc. Just a thought. Cheers. David.

It would cost a fortune for the maid to come in and dust everything off. I like the idea of the busted Porsche in the back of the garage. On those days when you get frustrated while working on the Zed, you just walk to the back, grab a baseball bat, and beat the crap out of the Porsche. Once you feel relaxed , it's back to work on the Zed. ( Zed Therapy). Really though. Nice, but a bit cluttered for my liking.
