  1. Dashboard in here. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/16040-shed-clearout-most-of-it-is-free/
  2. Yeah I was going to say I really like the colour of them! Good to know. Your calipers look like the "non" vented version (solid disc) is that right? I'm in the middle of rebuilding brakes for my FD RX-7, but would like to get a set of these and rebuild them next.
  3. Yep they look awesome! Where did you get the calipers and rebuild kit + pistons from?
  4. FYI: Not that it matters now, but new users cannot see their posts right away as an admin (me) has to approve them to ensure you're not a spammer. Should be fine to post from now on.
  5. I don't think I've seen those center caps before, attaching images here for future reference.
  6. Good price, they are the later produced ones. No center hub cap area for a Z432.
  7. What kind of flares are you after? Ditto with front lip and rear wing, there is quite a variety of styles etc..
  8. What is interesting though if you watch the full presentation is that I don't think it will even take legislation to convince people to move away from Internal Combustion Engines, it will happen through sheer economics. The average running cost of an ICE based car is around $10k per year. Where as the biggest cost associated with an EV is the cost of tyres and in most cases you replace them every 5 years or so. He also discusses solar panels, battery storage etc.. and how that will undermine typical power supply etc.. I think the market for classic cars in future will be either a carbon based credit scheme or limited usage like historic plates are now OR you'll see owners convert to EV. In fact in the presentation he shows how an engineer in San Francisco was able to convert his own vehicle to self driving and actually made software open source to allow others to do the same. Therefore I see a time where engine swaps will be all about EV conversion and self driving and less so about fuel injection, big turbo's etc..
  9. This is a really long presentation but in the context of EV disruption I wonder what will happen to the humble gasoline car? I wonder if there will be a drop in Interest, sort of like when records were replaced by CD players, but then Records came back as a sort of audiophile interest with a niche market that still prefers it over CD/Digital?
  10. Yes interior is a bit dated. Frank has had the car for many many years now and done a lot of work in that time. Fixing the interior would be a cheap exercise relatively speaking and whilst the paint is a bit modern for the era in my opinion. I think it's similar to the ZG maroon colour and with a few subtle changes could be made to look a bit more true JDM. Frank is now 70 years of age, he just isn't using it the same as he used to and wants to see it go to a good home and be cherished and maintained correctly. Not go to a young bloke who might not have much respect for the kind of power it makes and end up hurting themselves in it.
  11. These wheel caps have caused quite some trouble recently lol... Full set here. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/122702837998?ul_noapp=true Buy the caps, get the wheels for free!
  12. Not on AU market cars, many were fitted with the cheaper plastic covers later though, very rare that an AU market car had the chrome trim headlight covers fitted. But a few did and were purchased through Nissan dealers in Australia.
  13. Model: Nissan Fairlady Z-L (chassis code: S30-06569) Location: Melbourne (CBD area) Price and Payment Conditions: POA (but over $50k+ spent on modifications alone). Item Condition: Excellent Body: Body was sandblasted and stripped back many years ago (bare metal restoration) Mechanical: Extensively modified L28 currently running low boost. You'd want to be careful before turning the wick up on this thing! Registration: Yes Engineers Certificate: Yes Contact Details: Frank Mattesich (0438853416) Vehicle history: Chassis # S30-006569 would have been built in 1971. (HS30-H confirmed this). Purchased by an Illawarra BHP executive whilst stationed in Japan. The date of import to Australia is not exactly known but can be assumed that it was in 1971 as that is the date of first registration in Australia. The car is designated as Fairlady Z-L and is an early car with many of the early features. As a Fairlady Z-L it has the Rally Clock, Passenger foot rest, mesh grille, chrome trim headlight covers etc.. The car was sold to a Wollongong (NSW) person about 1980 who maintained the vehicle (including engine swap but no notification to RTA) until I purchased in 1999. Since purchasing the car I have extensively modified the car over the period. A note on original motor and matching no.'s for domestic market S30Z's. It would also have originally been fitted with an L20A, but as Japanese market cars don't have the engine number stamped on their ID plate, fitting another L20A with the right number range back into the car and the 71A gearbox would satisfy returning it to original if that was desired? The list of modifications is extensive and would easily exceed $50k+ on their own. 14. Brap Brap!
  15. Is it the original voltage regulator? Mine was replaced many moons ago..
  16. Any idea if those motors were ever used in other models? I've been thinking of doing the Honda upgrade but wondering if there is other options?
  17. It was from Japan, before the reproductions that appeared on eBay, so I am hoping it's a Nissan OEM part! Also may have found a NOS passenger side rear 1/4 panel for an early 240Z... they are still out there!
  18. Don't think it will fit a 2+2 but here is a 240z 1. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1419363662&member_hash=7c982e0bdc2fcbd8c2c27bdf1cc436f59983e2800dd44aad89&tm=email&et=46&mt=7F1F0D31-C106-4483-BC9A-C7464ADF110F
  19. Yes, jet blocks can be different homogenous vs independent and then of course jets could be different etc.. Using a mix and match approach would just be a recipe for trouble later on.
  20. Thanks mate appreciate it. I will see if my tafe teacher can help weld them, they are damn thin and we might just have to remake them... but if you've already gone to the trouble let me know what price you're after. I know they probably took longer than most would think they do to make...easy to under estimate.
  21. Have to see how things go after this year, there is talk of moving the course to Ultimo Tafe, but not sure how that is going to work. Convenient for me as I'm in Pyrmont for work but carrying large panels and parking in that area is going to be interesting to say the least. Happy to have help!
  22. @ 1:38 I've never seen S30Z wipers move that fast..... Maybe they worked ok when new?
  23. Pair of 40mm Mikuni/Solex carbs. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/263201540674 Buy it now: $650 AUD.
  24. The value of some things... NOS antenna mast. $295 USD and counting.. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/362093213287?ul_noapp=true
  25. I think the clips are the hard part to find these days...
