  1. https://www.tradeuniquecars.com.au/feature-cars/1709/holden-torana-a9x-review Interesting how values were higher in 2008 for these... I guess air can be pulled out of bubbles.
  2. Ahh yes I recall the car. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/1924-cars-for-sale-3rd-party-sites-ebay-carsales-etc/?p=194297 It's a very late 72 / early 73 model. Technically I would consider it a 73 model, has the indicators that were originally above the bumper, but have been moved below it in your photos. 901 Silver with red interior is quite rare!
  3. LHD 240z in Australia. https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/_/SSE-AD-4979701?WT.seg_4=AutoAlert;PCAA&sdmvc=1&utm_campaign=bau&utm_medium=email&utm_source=transact&utm_content=autoalert&wt.z_driver=Email_SearchAlert?WT.seg_4=AutoAlert Asking: $44k
  4. Are you and your friend absolutely sure it's the correct tyre for an original 260z? I only ask because I'm still not sure every market got the same tyres fitted from new on these cars. I believe early 240z's here got Dunlop Aquajets - but not 100% sure of that and I'm even less sure if this is the right wheel for a 260z's original spare? If you're absolutely 100% certain I can try and call this guy and have the wheel sent to me in Sydney unless someone else is willing to help out in Perth?
  5. I think my pair would be more attractive as a set of 3. Perhaps PM me what you want for it if you're willing to sell it?
  6. Facebook? Do you know her name and previous address? I looked up the previous owner of my 72 recently, appears he's still at the same address and phone number. Been meaning to call as he may still have a few parts laying about from it. I hope for your sake the previous owner still has the paperwork!
  7. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Datsun-Z-Series-stock-/292251165436 HLS30-67615 US $31,400.00 Buy it now.
  8. I actually have a NOS Fairlady Z Grille ready to go, but I kind of want to keep the original slated grille also. So I guess worst case scenario I have that to fall back on. I was looking at the Grille itself and it would be possible to remake without too much effort but like anything, how much time / money do I want to invest? I noticed Skillard in the US do a reproduction Grille as does Star Road (goes down lower below the bumper). At $895 USD it's pretty expensive. But it's also not OEM The problem with the stock grille is that the metal is so thin it's actually hard to panel beat back into shape. I've actually straightened it out significantly but it's still not 100% and I'm the kind of person who will notice it each time if it's not right... unfortunately. Like a lot of things I used to see Grille's all the time for cheap, now I'm not even sure what their value is as I haven't seen a good 1 for sale in a while!
  9. Yeah yeah... I guess.
  10. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/wellington-point/cars-vans-utes/1974-datsun-260z-2-seater-coupe-with-engine-parts-package/1159183718 1974 Datsun 260Z *2 Seater* Coupe with Engine/Parts Package $17,500.00
  11. Good to know, I spend ALL day looking at numbers and sometimes I make mistakes or misread numbers. I've had to correct myself many times when entering HS30 information into my database as I've made mistakes on engine and chassis no's before! Your car got me thinking, the fact it has all that paperwork and you can track it's history quite well, it's original, matching no's with original paint colour etc.. Seems to have been cherished. I actually think given the price of Japanese classics right now that your pricing seems fair to me. Not sure if you saw but HLS30 00064 sold for $60k USD recently (unrestored) http://www.ebay.com/itm/162659926147 It caused quite a stir on the good ol' Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/groups/DCTFS/permalink/1491028710950884/ Just goes to show that these cars are moving upmarket. Perhaps a little too quickly for all of us though!
  12. Thanks Alan, I'd appreciate that. The big problem will be fixing the brackets but I may actually make them from scratch! It's a case of hours invested in fixing what I have vs cost of replacement with a better 1. Do you think Carlos has any? His website had them listed but I know it's not exactly updated often.
  13. By the way I can't recall if I sent you this? But you can see what your car looked like originally here. http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/22550-new-member-australia/?do=findComment&comment=191905
  14. Must come up in search results.
  15. It's possible I was dislexic when I put the price in, but I am pretty sure it was priced in the 50k range. Perhaps got a flood of interest early and decided to bump it up? Pretty sure owner is a member here. *Edit link to member thread. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/15890-new-club-car-addition-1973-240z-with-documentation/ Member name: zed74 http://www.viczcar.com/forum/user/101840-zed74/
  16. It's in Perth, if you can get the seller to ship to me, I could try and help ship to the UK. Although my experience with shipping such things is usually import, not export.
  17. 240z vs 260z Grille differences here. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/14975-sold-260z-grille-240z-jul-72-onwards/ Will accept either!
  18. Hey Folks, I'm in the middle of trying to straighten out a slightly bent grille, but thought I'd see if there is anyone out there with a good straight 1 for sale and what kind of asking prices? I can probably get mine straight again with enough time invested but might be better off with another if I can find 1. Thanks, https://photos.app.goo.gl/ubqAKbbCDKsbfKRG2
  19. Wonder what no. it is?
  20. The first rule of photobucket is to stop using it! The second rule is to save the images and re-upload here. This forum has some restrictions around image extensions to prevent malicious content being inserted into the forum. I will see what can be done about changing this after the upgrade to the newest version of this software.
  21. 73 240z for sale on CarSales.com.au https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/_/SSE-AD-4975374?WT.seg_4=AutoAlert;PCAA&sdmvc=1&utm_campaign=bau&utm_medium=email&utm_source=transact&utm_content=autoalert&wt.z_driver=Email_SearchAlert?WT.seg_4=AutoAlert Asking price: $56k
  22. Need to fix the Photobucket images here.
  23. Gumtree... but I have it listed as 103468 https://photos.app.goo.gl/KoDiCCaYJuEzZyli2
  24. All 3 remaining trays sold pending payment.
  25. They also have affordable housing and their land prices have been going down... they seem to know how to plan in Japan, where as our lot wouldn't know what a plan looks like.
