  1. Looking at this photo again I noticed something I never saw before... Look at the rear glass! It looks like HS30 00004 had the rear defrost glass in it. Perhaps Nissan was going to fit them originally but then decided it wasn't necessary and to keep costs low removed it in later delivered cars?
  2. Hopefully with 3D printing and scanning it will become easier over time. Tricky part is you need an original to copy from first.
  3. Yeah I would love to have an LY engine set up, these rb30 heads are about as close as I reckon I'll get. Wonder what the costs are?
  4. So what's the top end of the market up to? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/photo-essays/2017-08-17/pebble-beach-auction-top-lots-aston-martin-porsche-ferrari-mclaren
  5. To do a full rebuild will cost $5k or more properly done etc.. I would personally just sort the head out if the motor ran fine previously, if you want to do other work in terms of performance different story.
  6. I figured someone made a mistake. It's also quoted as 919 yellow, but in fact was 112 lime originally. As that's what the other cars around it all were...
  7. This could get awkward... All seems good, but.... I have another car listed under that same chassis no.. If you go to Vicroads and look up the number plate: ABW641 you'll see it has the same chassis code: HS30 103529 Incidentally the L24 engine number Lindsay has quoted in his Gumtree ad seems to be within the correct range for that chassis no... so someone has the wrong recorded chassis number (Vicroads perhaps?) or 2 cars have the same identity?
  8. That's Rob from ZFactory in Mordialloc. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/1353-z-factory-to-help-any-confusion/

  10. Yes good choice of adjective, I have a feeling someone wanted a Marcos Mantis.
  11. Hey Folks, Just adding this business here, I have placed an order and waiting for it to arrive. Their site has lots of useful automotive related tools. (had to restrain myself for now). http://www.motoquipe.com.au/ http://www.motoquipe.com.au/shop/car-care-garage/teng-tools/8450 Figured it might be useful for others. Looking at some of the engine building tools in particular.
  12. Lurch rebuilt my 260z close ratio box with 71C extension housing and put it in my 72 240z. He said gearbox feels great and car is going good now with Triples fitted. I'm still yet to have a go in it... ?
  13. I missed that.. good thing I didn't go down to check it out. Would be like a chicken carcass now.
  14. Not sure I'll be getting those made, but sure if others have interest perhaps we can see what kind of demand there is?
  15. Hey Mark, Sorry for the late reply, I'll PM you. Interesting pending price and condition etc..
  16. Looks like very good buying, nice garage also!
  17. Toyota Supra $60k USD or close enough. http://jalopnik.com/heres-what-a-perfect-toyota-supra-is-worth-1797769835

  19. Anyone been down to Blacktown to check out this car being broken? 260z 2+2 Auto? http://picknpayless.com.au/eziparts/Display_Vehicle.asp?PriceListID=0&VehicleID=55084&Location=picknpaylesscomau&LocationID=1&VehicleDesc=Nissan%20260Z%2003/74-02/79 http://picknpayless.com.au/eziparts/ViewVehicleImages.asp?Location=picknpaylesscomau&VehicleID=55084 I'm guessing most of the bones have been picked..
  20. Guilty as charged, however looking at every other HS30 I've recorded so far it's usually pretty accurate. There are a few where this hasn't been the case but it's an odd ball car here and there. Unfortunately you have piqued my interest more. Funny it's a Tony Fall car too.
  21. @Alan do you know the "true" identity of this car? https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/19289/lot/237/?category=list The chassis plate shows: HS30 - 11696X L24 - 155359 But that would put the chassis range around: HS30 101XX - HS30 1012XX range by my guess... Any idea what the chassis code on the car is? Is it an actual HS30?
  22. I know you got 1, but eBay US (4 speed knobs) best place to get them cheap.
  23. Both cars were recently sold in the past 6-12 months. Green 1 was pretty darn original when it was last listed. If it still has it's original parts probably a good restoration candidate. HS30 01311 https://goo.gl/photos/vjUNYLu5LjWtBoqD9 HS30 00577 https://goo.gl/photos/cbdVuSXmEg2rbX3r6
  24. Loving that Safari Gold
