  1. Revive Jalopy in Japan I believe has or does make reproduction runs. Possibly my favorite wheel on the S30Z.
  2. The main item I was trying to order was cancelled on me (I bought other items to fill out the order), which was disappointing but I got the rest of the items ok. You can read reviews here: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/motoquipe.com.au Mostly positive, so yes I would order again but a little disappointed I had to order via another website for the tool I actually needed.
  3. I sent some photos to a 3D modeler who came up with these renderings.. Alan (HS30-H) had some made up a few years back in Magnesium! They were also made in 15" diameter as opposed to 14" for better tyre selection etc..
  4. The old LD28's are getting rarer, but I still find plenty in Japan. Of course price wise you pay for it. What's interesting is that 10 years ago they cost about $900 - $1000 AUD. I don't really think the price has moved much. In part because it's the prep work for the crank that costs a good chunk of change. So other options become more attractive (best speak with your engine builder). The big issue with an item like that is shipping costs, better to go via sea container route. But by the time you get it here you'll be up to $1,500 AUD or more (probably more). So not really worth it, given you'll need to spend more on it again once here. Better to find 1 locally if you can.
  5. This just popped up on Yahoo! Japan. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/x501470933 They look like some kind of reproduction using a standard outer wheel but custom center piece. Ignore the price, that's a fantasy in my opinion. As you can see they look a little 'off' compared to an original wheel.
  6. Mitsubishi distributor for L-series. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/606-mitsubishi-distributor-for-l-series-engine-electronic/ Listed at a good price. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/t528874272 Possibly fitted to L20A turbo's and the HR30 skyline?
  7. I have been planning to bring stuff in for a while but my contact in the US still hasn't given me a price list with everything we chatted about when I was last over there and to be honest I haven't pushed him as I've had expenses on my end recently and still have a couple of outstanding bills to cover. So in the short term no, but my point of contact over there knows the seller so next time I've over that way I'll see if I can go past and see what's in stock and if I can arrange to ship to a port within the US for import here. So short answer is not yet. Long answer is in future yes probably.
  8. Gotta visit this place next time I go to SFO. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/pts/d/datsun-partsnew-and-used-oem/6276042885.html
  9. Speaking of steel did you see the reproductions available now? http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/14558-the-ebay-thread-2-post-ebay-parts-here/?p=195490
  10. Reproduction bonnets vented and non-vented. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Steel-Hood-Fits-1970-1978-Datsun-240z-260z-280z-S30-/253055541785 $650 USD each... Vented version. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Steel-Hood-w-Louver-Holes-FITS-19701978-Datsun-240z-260z-280z-S30-/252847767853 Price: US $599.00 The real test will be how good their fitment is... but gotta be better than fixing bent ones. I should know....
  11. No manifold, suggest Harada small port manifold. Cost is about $500 for a manifold. Check out RHDJapan.com. https://www.rhdjapan.com/kameari-intake-manifold-kit-l-type-42mm-l6-wire-type.html
  12. I have a pair of that style of 40mm Mikuni's, I was going to source a third to make a set of 3 and offer them for around $1,500 AUD.
  13. Love this guy's Alpine's - very cool cars and I love the period correct parts on many of them.
  14. By the time you restore and re-skin em' not a bad price. Seen them going for mad money in Japan now. Can probably find a bad pair in the US for sale for like $100, but then shipping costs etc.. you'll be up to maybe $300 + re-trim + foam set at $500+ a side well... easily over $1000 AUD. Depends what shape you want them in!
  15. Did I sell you that Grille? I can't recall now. But if I did, I only sold it as I found another that was almost NOS condition wise (just a tiny amount of surface rust in 1 corner). Probably to save myself time, but I've been caught up spending too much time on small things like this myself. It is worth it though as the grille looks fantastic and is a credit to the work you're doing on this car. Looks superb!
  16. Same car was listed a couple of years ago I believe. Perhaps decided not to sell? Now trying again?
  17. M-Speed. Specialise in many classic Japanese cars. Find reproduction parts etc.. http://www.mspeed-japan.com/product_information.php?category_id=7 Some hard to find stuff like Fairlady Z foot rest rubber etc..
  18. I don't see any photos of the chassis no. starting with PS30 to confirm. I think it's just an early shell...with a low vin number. I think it's missing documentation so only good for parts. Worth cutting up for roof, rear 1/4's, rear valance etc.. Floors look like later replacement pieces (not OEM) pressing. The rest is fubar!
  19. Would rather mark as sold and leave it here for future reference if you're ok with that? If not send me a PM and we can chat.
  20. Gareth... Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Try flog the "Big" but smaller version you have of the Nissan cover off to the guys in the US. Might get lucky and get $250 USD for it? I dunno.. The others are not worth that much depends on what someone is willing to pay you for it, but like anything are getting rarer and rarer these days..
  22. Photobucket is blocking all images that have been embedded in a third party website (such as this forum), they can determine that based on referral information (a referral from this domain viczcar.com) means the image is hosted externally and they are blocking these for a fee. The plugin linked to above allows the referrer to be scrubbed so it appears that the image is being accessed directly and bypasses photobucket blocking the images from displaying. Problem is you need the plugin to do this and therefore it will only work for those who have installed the plugin. It's a good way for folks to save images in their threads and then upload here or gives them the ability to move away from photobucket really.
  23. Cool but they make reassembly look easy, no measurement of clearances, piston ring gaps etc.. still looks like fun.
  24. HS30 00103 (905 red I believe originally) still exists as does HS30 00285 (904 white car).
