  1. As I had to replace the squeegee's on Wag's 240Z, I did some digging and came across Skillards video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOhVwokT93w And I also looked on eBay and found them: https://tinyurl.com/2jj9byn6 We then fitted them up with new staples, making sure that the 'foot' of the rubber goes UNDER the securing strip. The only issue - if you can call it an issue - is that the squeegee is taller then the OEM squeegee. They cant be cut down as they wont touch the glass.

  2. That is dependent on how you treat the bare metal, here you can have steel zinc blasted, so a coating of zinc is blasted onto the bare steel and won't come off . My Z suspension springs are bare (no paint/powder coat), and after 12 years still no rust. Not saying "its the way to do it" but there other ways to do things. Nice work by the way ND240Z, makes me feel like the body of the csp I am restoring isn't that bad (but it is).

  4. When we dissembled the Z, I didn't take any notice of the windscreen wiper arms. I got them out of the box before to refit them with new refills and was delighted to see they were the original 'Twin Spars'. However some sharp object had decided to paint them in matt black - and this will not do. So onto the polishing mop with them and I've buffed the paint off and polished the stainless to a nice shine, so as to blind Wags from the reflection when he drives it. One down, one to go...

  7. The NOS pile so far. Pretty proud of the stereo surround and radio. Absolutely cannot wait until i can actually fit these! Shameless plug but i'm always looking for more new old stock. if you have anything at all feel free to PM me! Part's get back from Media blasting tomorrow - and scheduled to be painted this weekend. Finalised and dropped off all parts that need to be zinc coated gold/silver. This included the inner dash frame too. I did speak to them about Hydrogen embrittlement and they do offer that service too which was great! 2 month lead time to get all of it back - need to go back and drop off the bumpers/chrome bits for them to re-chrome too. and after a long weekend, a little spin out in the other semi-old Nissan never hurt anyone...

  8. Just wanted to post my results using the profile mentioned by AndBir to replace my rock hard window rubbers. I actually bought the length required from here for $60 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/233226011571?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 Looks very similar to the profile CBR Jeff got from zcarsource, and is nicely flocked on the window wiper. I ground off the staples holding my old rubbers to the stainless and used 3.2mm (4.8mm depth) aluminium rivets to install the new rubbers. I think they turned out really well, so many thanks to AndBir for the tip which spurred me on to finally do something about them.
