  1. With any luck we should have professional photos soon, which will hopefully wet everybody’s beak. We just have to wait for the carpet (it’s running late) and a few other misc parts to arrive from the states. After that we should be just about there.

  2. Greetings and thanks for allowing me to add my car to this forum. After a few bumps and detours I am very happy with what I now have, being a Z that can be driven to, on and from the track that is also concessionally licensed! Special thanks to Gav, Lachy, Les, and Martin Falconer for their help in all this. Cheers from Perth Specs.pdf

  9. So it’s been a long time since I have worked on the car. My excuse should suffice. My dear mum suffered complications during surgery in January 2021, she fought the good fight but ultimately we had to let her go in September. I have never suffered such pain. Its still very raw three months on. During her stay in hospital I was still working on the car and it was a welcome distraction for me and a stress release, or maybe more of a stress replacement? I’m not sure. So I will be dedicating this project to my dear mum and will change it to Project Georgia (once I work out how) In loving memory… I have in the mean time been reformulating my plan for the rear of the rotisserie, I plan to keep the rear valance off and tie the mount points into a second area, considering the rear strut towers as per below. then finally get it off to be stripped and blasted. should be back to work on the car shortly…

  12. Update January 2022 So I have been chipping away at the Zed.... The first step was to clean and paint the engine.... I now Identify as a 350 chev. Please only refer to me by my chosen engine code. Plan is to "dress it down" and make it all look old school. . . looks like it was made to be in there from factory! =) . . Also tackled some wiring with my apprentice. Doing a remote coil pack relocation to the firewall to tidy up the engine. . And here is the finished result. Not entirely happy with the harness, ill probably try and neaten it up a little by re wrapping it, or get LS3 coil packs, where the harness plug is on the bottom of the coil, so I can run the harness underneath and hide it a lot easier. I will see how it looks once I have the plug wires on it. And now the tricky part is trying to fit the T56 from underneath, without it rolling off the floor jack and splitting my head open like watermellon! Rudi...

  14. To answer my own question - yep, seems that both Subaru R180 clutch and torsen type LSD centres utilise the same output shafts. Or at least the Torsen style R180 from a 2018 manual WRX works with the Kameari shafts. And a plug for Kameari (and Fedex I guess) - ordered Xmas Eve, arrived on my doorstep this morning, $550 all up including post. Add in the $125 for the diff and the scrooge in me is very happy !
