nizm0zed, real glad you thought the boots were ok but the moulds will be staying right here, they're not expensive moulds and were made to produce boots for my Zed...and then for local owners, especially Auzcar members...the US has there own supply over there at Zstore

I have a day job and making the boots and other rubbers is more of a hobby with me than anything else now, profit is not the driving force in mind, it can't be because there's high risk in this old car field as well, I've learnt from past experience, profits can only come after doing intensive market research that tells you it's ok to spend mega bucks, which I don't have and not willing to borrow...it's better I stay the way I am with this as a hobby, I'm not risking big money then losing it, members will benefit as a result

PS as soon as these heatwave conditions subside, I'll get back to filling more orders, damn hot here, I can't eat sleep or breath even...for those still waiting, I can only ask that you wait a bit longer, a few members have ordered more than one set and that's fine, I'm willing to fulfill those orders, it just takes a little longer...I'm more than halfway through the list but there's been additional orders since the initial lot were ordered....for anyone who is in a real hurry, I have some seconds here at reduced price naturally, they have small faults that won't be seen or affect their operation and they are still guaranteed...so that is an alternative to consider if you need a set straight away, Thanks

Folks, if you fail to answer my emails I can't send your boots and I have to move on to the next on the list, hope you understand...if you delay you might have to wait a little longer to receive your boots...send me a PM if there's an unavoidable delay, then I can hold your boots for you

 

If anyone has changed their mind, just say....I'm a big boy, I can handle it, so far the co-operation has been excellent but it's getting a bit raggard, If there is no communication I have to assume the order has been cancelled, therefore I can't hold your boots and will offer them to the next in line

Yes I added you specialp3, there's still 7 before you though, getting through them as quickly as I can...when I finish the current list (10 to go) I won't be taking any more orders, people can ask if I've got some and if I have, they can just purchase normally, if I haven't got any available I'll advise a waiting time for a set

Hi, it seems that 2+2s' have a different sealing arrangement to prevent water leaking in, this may be only later models but please check your 2+2 hinges before requiring boots, if you've already ordered and find they're not going to be suitable for your 2+2 just PM and I'll cancel the order, if you've already receive a set, PM first, then you can send them back and I'll deposit a refund....view my earlier photos for reference of type of boot, which is the only type I'm making...the cavity in the body shell is 65mm long by 35 deep...if there is a doubt, measure it to make sure

Folks, many thanks for your excellent co-operation while I was filling the orders, it made the job that much easier. I now have a set of hinge boots fitted to my Zed and now I can move on to finish that hatch region, all that's left to do there is fit the hatch door catch and the door itself when it's painted. The guy in the US receive his and seems happy with them judging by the feedback email he sent. The Kiwis' got theirs and one set went to Europe

 

The price has gone up a little but still below fifty, it was a bit low to begin with but more power to those who got in quick. I'm doing some maintenance on the moulds at present which will take about 3 weeks duration working on them a bit each night after work and that means I won't have any boots available for that time, a spare set I did have here just sold and then there was none

 

Once again thanks and I'll try to expand this hobby by making different parts in the future, it's just that time beats me, but I'm still working on it

Everyone who has ordered boots lately is on the new list, even if I haven't PM'd, you're still on it.

 

Just a reminder that new boots have a very thin coating of rubber grease all over to help protect the surface but for glue or paint to adhere the grease must be removed first by washing or wiping with petrol, thinners or turps
