Agno Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 go onto the SW motorsport website and search "shaft". they are about $1950 ...just don't search the same thing on google images Looking good Ledge, do you mind me asking how much the CV's set you back? Quote
sexual_sushi Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Apologies, I thought they were a custom order **puts on dunce hat** Thanks Quote
Ledge Posted May 23, 2013 Author Posted May 23, 2013 Stewart Does 2 sorts, One is using mainly Nissan bits, think it was 1600. Good for L series stuff. The other is billet stuff(the one I got) 2200. But its the shit apparently Cheers Paul Quote

Ledge Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Well just fitted the custom spigot bush and sat the box on without bell housing to check clearances. Now just have to fit the Tilton internal slave and on she goes. Quote
Fairlady Z Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 That is some serious gear there. Cannot wait to see it in person. Quote
260DET Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Good on you for being a pioneer, sequential shift. To die for Quote
Ledge Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Its more I cant see the point of replacing standard RB box over and over. Or spending 7+ on a ppg gearset, abit extra got this 6 speed 1:1 sequential. Cant wait to put it in. probably this weekend. Quote
Riceburner Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Now that's a gearbox! Forgive my silly question but what are the two shifters? Quote
Ledge Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 The tall one goes from nuetral to 6th, the small one will engage reverse. But only when other is in neutral. Great idea i thought so when you slamming back down through the gears you wont hit reverse. Quote
Riceburner Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 This thing is gunna be even more of a blast to drive, can't wait for some more in car footage. Is there any special maintenance required to keep the box in good working order or is it just set and forget? Quote
sexual_sushi Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I reckon you could make your money back on it chargin people to go for a test drive Quote
Ledge Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 This thing is gunna be even more of a blast to drive, can't wait for some more in car footage. Is there any special maintenance required to keep the box in good working order or is it just set and forget? Yeah I think first time out I wont have my good pants on that's for sure. Apparently the Dog rings are good for 1000 to 1500 hard race KMS. so for me that's probably 5 years. Another set of rings are around $600. They recommend a particular oil and to change it every 300 kms. about $80. I have a video that shows strip and rebuild of box, 45mins. very simple internals. So I can easy fit them myself After market ECU = yes. not 100% sure if it is flat shift capable. if not there is a good setup from England that is a stand alone unit so may go that way if my ecu cant do it. Incar footage will be uploaded. Cheers Paul Quote
KatoKid Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Incar footage will be uploaded. Banned if not!!! Quote
Ledge Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 HI Chaps That would be a valid banning to mate. Well its all back together and ready to go. Just need to put the stripe back on the bonnet and some logo's. Will try to get on Dyno this week for a look over. but im ridiculously busy at the shop so will do my best. ECU has been modified by Microtech to flat shift and have fitted Holinger Knob I will video and post asap. first event is just the Nissan Datsun SA Club hill climb at Collingrove in a few weeks. Cheers Paul Quote
