HI

Thanks guys

Brabham  The car has a substantial cage in it so twist isn't a drama.

sphincter flex on the other hand is a different matter LOL

Paul

Don't take this as a negative comment but a cage by itself won't give chassis rigidity, the cage design has to be incorporated into the chassis design and the two integrated to form one structure. You probably realised this but some people do seem to think that a bare cage will solve there spaghetti chassis problems.

From memory that cage is tied into the body in quite a few places..whereas my half cage probably only prevents those cracks appearing where the lead joins are in the rear quarters.

HI Guys

Yeah the cage is strut to strut with a million ties to the body,

Think i could put the jack under the front right and change the rear left tyre

its so rigid.

Can totally understand how a half cage would achieve nothing when it comes

to chassis strength.

I have been using the car for a while now with a stock RB25 so this is really just and

engine change. It was quick before with 195kwatw so add an extra 100 to that

and I'm sure i will need a bit more right foot control.

Next event for the car is Mt Alma Mile hill climb on 31st March and 1st April.

Will go do a practice day at Mallala before then to get used to the extra performance.

HI Peter

I'm really not bothered by what it makes, We will be mucking around

with cams to give the most mid range, best torque curve so what ever

its peak power is is what it is.

As you would be well aware by some of the good things you have built

big peak power figures are all but useless in the real world.

HI Peter

Yep your guess was better than mine.

i was thinking 280 but I'm not going to argue LOL

It has turbo smart eboost hooked up to the

tomei actuators and turbo smart blow off valve.

As it is now its good but i want to do some track driving

to iron out any flat spots

Should be on the track next Friday for a practice day

P.H. is doing 17's in his 260 so I'll be disapointed if you're not in the 14's.  I'll be out crewing the formula ford so will see you there.

Hi Lads

Here is the footage i have put together from the 2012 Mt Alma hillclimb.

Done a mash up of all the different camera angles that where taken on the car over the

weekend some on Saturday when i had old rubber so those times where around the 49 sec mark.

I Made few mistakes on that day, missed changes, missed apex's but hit nothing.

My best run was the final with a 45.8 and was beaten by a full time attack RX7 with more

wings than the airforce and by what i was told 450kw at the wheels and 800kg weight.

From memory there wasn't many cars with a sub 46 second pass and i think only 3 2wd cars

so all in all i was blown away by my result.

Followed by a clean run with the camera hanging out the passenger window above the exhaust outlet

with no music so turn that bit up and have your tissues handy. This run was a 49.2 on Saturday afternoon

One thing i did notice with the footage is it doesnt do the steepness of this hill any justice.

Hope you enjoy it.
