Hey, few queries,

What ratio set did you finally go for, and why?

What diff ratio will you use, at what tracks?

What tyre sizes?

In playing around with different combos of above, in other cars, and relating the combos to both engine rpm drop on upchange in gears, and, trying to guess wjat top gear speed is attainable at a circuit, the guessing game is a lot of fun, and when you get it right, it sings!

Thanks chaps,

Dat2kman, I went with the 1:1 6th gear set. Not the overdrive version.  Due to overdrive is a week link then.

Diff in car now is 4.3, I will run this ratio for hill climbs, Will need either 4:1 or 3:9 for Mallala. Definitely 3:9 or lower(or Higher depends which way you say it)

for the likes of PI etc. Have a Mallala event coming next weekend so will see how much limiter smashing I'm doing.

Tyres are 255/45/17 on rear

Am really looking forward to Mallala.

Cheers

Well fellow Z chaps,

I had a great day getting used to the new setup today.

It was 400 deg at Mallala so temps where an issue so could

only do 4 laps at a time.

Smashed 2 secs of my PB with more to come.

My Semi's are almost 3 years old so next time will have fresh stuff.

These are my first few laps of my last run. Bloody Gopro battery didn't last all day

You know you are doing OK when your in the group with Clubies.

And yes I almost stalled of the line HA HA

Nice driving Ledge. The acceleration is Awsome with the sequential box, but I also noticed you were out braking the Westfield (or similar ) you must have lightened the zed ,and have some nice brakes?

Those little cars are demonds  under braking.

Simon Lol. No Exageration there.

Gordo, I have all AZC arms, coilovers, 6 piston front and 4 piston rears. When you are wedged between a hand full of Clubbies you know your car is quick. Cant wait to get tyres now. The power delivery is brutal with the close ratio 6 speed.

If I flat shift on the shift light at 8500 it losses traction so im chchanging earlier till I get some sticky tyres

Well Chaps im of to Tailem bend tomorrow for a timed 1/4 mile event.

looking forward to seeing what it will do. Traction will be my biggest issue out there

as its a pretty dusty track.

Vids and times will follow

Cheers

ps Not sure if you Mexicans have heard but Tailem bend has been purchased by

a wealthy family over here and plan to build a massive motorsport park.

Will keep you posted but signs are very promising

Yes. We have heard that.

But a better question would be........

Where the bloody hell is Tailem Bend anyway!

15 mins from my town. Just over an hour out of Adelaide. You would drive through it driving from Melbourne to Adelaide

Well Chaps,

I can know honestly say why do people spend so much money on drag cars Yawn Yawn Yawn.

Thanks to the organise that they had setup a little slalom coarse on the return road for some fun

or I wouldn't have made it till lunch time.

As you can imagine I had traction issues with old tyres and shiver surface. Best time that I seen

was an 11.5 but I left before my last run was up so may be a bit better.

If you don't fall asleep and make it to the end of the vid you may see my Movember action LOL

Sinisha it was a pretty crude 1/4 mile, Was more like a sprint event. They didn't have a speed trap.

Im not going to guess speed but was in top over the line.

Yeah the box is fantastic. It has taken 3 seconds of my Mallala PB.

Im trying to convince the owner of TT industries to make a setup for L series.

Aww I like the lime colour, is knackers cramping your style?

Posted

Yeah bloody Knackers, Cant trust him  ;)

Its been almost 4 years since I painted it. with all the

changes and mods that the car has endured over the last 4 years

it needs a respray throughout. Because of that its a good chance

to change it. Don't get me wrong I love the lime yellow but as they

say a change is a good as a holiday.

Gordo I do love taking pics of cars from the mezzanine level of my shop.

It makes them look almost model car like.

BB512 we had in a few weeks back
