Sirpent Posted January 8, 2013 Author Posted January 8, 2013 Hi snake man mate it will need the return line as you have a reg on your engine that will lift fuel presher under boost , , as for the tank why can you not fit the fuel pump in the tank center section and it will double as a surge tank Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm not following what you mean by fitting the pump in the centre section so as to double the surge tank size Buddy Quote
peter mc Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 SORRY i ment it will be a surge tank and you fit the pump in as well that way you wont need to have a external tank Quote
Sirpent Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Thanks to Peter Mac for the post and phone call, and to Peter Allen and all that posted about this idea. Revised tank with internal pump and downward plumbing through the floor pan to solid lines. Baffles to be added. Quote
Sirpent Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 So life throws some curved ball's Like kids This is what happens from 30 mins of pleasure and the resulting 18 years of agony, you eventually have to buy them a car, but I have to say these 1.4L Supercharged Turbo GT Golfs have some real B*LLS ! and you have to love the paddle shift. Paddle shift ? my quivering bundle of motherly love asks Oh nothing son, forget I ever mentioned anything LMAO Quote
peter t Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Looks better than the 1988 Nissan Pintara that I just got for my son. Then again I may not be on the same salary and have a 30 year old son that has no money. What the heck I love doing it anyway. Quote

Hey Peter I feel bad now, I didnt mean to big note, the money for that car came out of my savings for the Zed, my kid did it hard for years and suffered a lot, he is quiet, keeps to himself and worked his butt off this year to get through VCE, all he wanted was a 4 cyl Golf had no great dreams of a Tokyo drifter, so he comes across this at an absolute bargain not realising totally what he had stumbled across and I decided along with the wife to get it for him. zzzzed Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Nice car, but i didnt think p platers could drive boosted cars legally ? Quote
Agno Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 In Victoria this car passes under the low output turbo rules of under 125kw/tonne. The probationary driver of the car will still need to apply for an exemption from Vicroads and carry that letter with him at all times when driving the vehicle. Lucky boy! Beats the clunker I had to save up for myself, at least dad is finally getting his Porsche lol Given today was uni offer day I hope your son got the grades to get into whatever uni/tafe/qualification he was aiming for too!
