I’m very lucky indeed to have my uncle and dad to guide me. Thanks for your feedback on the videos, means a lot to me, I was never going to create a channel as it seemed so foreign and self absorbed to me. I was just going to take some video and time lapse for myself. But I’m really glad I decided to do it as it has given me a creative outlet and I am really starting to enjoy it. Still terrible at speaking in front of the camera and say ummm every second word! But plan to make the videos better and better. Hopefully all my mistakes help you when your project starts! I have a classic z specialist here in Perth, he’s possibly on this forum but not sure. But bought from one of his other clients. Apparently all I need is a front flange and backing plate from my stock 240z diff for the drive shaft join and some adapter plates to mate the 240z halfshafts to the diff. These adapter plates are made out of Japan and will be on order soon. I may also need a different moustache bar but we will see. Will come out cheaper than the Quaife option hopefully. Still pricey though.... but can you put a price on not lighting up your inside rear wheel mid corner? They are really pretty.... so the splines go into the Subaru diff and flanges onto stock halfshafts. Chuck your stock z diff front face flange and diff backplate onto the Subaru R180 and hey presto 240z LSD for under 2k! My z man has to check the internals on the Subaru diff to make sure everything’s healthy and then it’s a done deal! Funny it takes under 5 days to get to Australia and then the brakes get applied, been in oz for 5 days now. I knew they’d be rusted in. Going to bring to a shop and press them out. Whatever you do, soak them in penetrating oil - acetone and auto fluid - for a few days before you try pressing or pulling them out. But after a poor review of them by Peter T and my z man here in perth I decided to see if I could find a stock one. Looked online and most are around the 300 to 500 USD dollar mark . Quite pricey....especially with shipping. asked my z man if he had any available and he did! It’s rough, but it’s mine! And it’s a much more reasonable price than ones from the states. I restored my wheel and I'm very happy with it. The steering can be heavy with these cars so a big wheel helps. I went for the polished spoke look rather than the black. I like the tint, I find some people use a product that has too much red in it. I don’t know what the stock color is like Did you get a new horn pad or just repaint or clean up the original?
