C&S... The seller is honest and will explain to purchaser...

I'm still lost, that username also looks like the guy who I bought my 240z off years back. But I'm not certain.

$10,000

1970 240z (HS30 00063) with matching numbers engine. Bodywork and respray completed in 2000 along with a top end refresh of engine and new clutch with 5 speed 280zx gearbox. Car has travelled only 48000kms since. Has 280zx distributor and extractors but everythiung else is original. Dash was reconditioned professionally and is still looking new with no cracks. Car has been in storage for almost 5 years (is unregistered) but has been run regularly.

This 240z is just like all the others with some rust showing through on bottom of doors, rear wheel arches and along the roofline above the doors. Under battery tray looks ok and the spare wheel housing is rust free.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to restore a series 1(number 63) matching numbers 240z to factory specification.

Ad is gone, wonder if it found a new owner?

Been down for a few days now. I was thinking of giving JP a call to see if it was sold. I never got around to it. Would be nice to see it go to someone who will restore it.

Looks lovely, apart from the mirrors on it. Not my tea of cup. Make him an offer?

Also doesn't look like they are 240z carbs, looks like different British Style SU's or perhaps the dashpot dip sticks have been changed.

I bought #63 from J-P, it will be completely restored to original condition, as is befitting such an old girl, this is the third series one I have owned, and restored the last one to a pretty good and mostly original state.

I am already sourcing parts, but in reality, it will be a while before I start, I have another car purchase going on at the moment, so need all my money for that, plus an old 1948 GMC pickup I want to start first, also need to sell a couple of things, so if anyone is in the market for a 2007 Brera, 1988 Lotus Esprit Turbo or a 1995 300zx, Manual (25th Anniversary Millen Edition, 1 of 40 Australian delivered cars) drop me a line.

I'm based in Perth

Cheers

Hi Lee, congratulations on getting #63. I remember meeting you at z day back in 2003 when you had your red early chassis number car. Did you end up getting the Super Samurai?

I am in Ardross and would be good to catch up with other Z owners in Perth. I really wanted to get #63 but already have too many cars so getting another zed project wasn't an option.

Looking forward to seeing your rebuild.

Hi Cuong

Thanks mate, you have a good memory, yes, I attended on that day with #306. Did you ever get that yellow monster finished?

Bit of a story with the Samuri, the guy I was buying it off was selling due to his company hitting financial troubles in the UK, although I had put a deposit down, I got talking to him just before I was due to complete the purchase, he was in a better place financially, and he was telling me how he and his dad worked on the car, unfortunately, his dad passed away before the resoration was completed, so in a nutshell, even though he guy was genuine and still prepared to complete the deal, I offered him the chance to back out (on the proviso that if  it is ever for sale again, it comes to me) And in the meantime, I consoled myself by going off and buying something else :)

Good to hear from you Cuong, happy to catch up any time.
