Administrators gav240z Posted April 7, 2016 Author Administrators Posted April 7, 2016 And that's why your on the Big Bucks. Nice work Gav. I was just trying to find photos of the other Silver car but couldn't find the posts earlier in this thread. I am somewhat ashamed to say I don't think I embedded them here, which I usually try and do for this particular reason. From memory the 73 car has some trim items that were not original to it's year and a few other minor issues, but both cars look very similar. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted April 7, 2016 Author Administrators Posted April 7, 2016 Actually found 1 photo. http://classicthrottleshop.com/soldcars.htm nb: indicators above bumper. Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted April 9, 2016 Author Administrators Posted April 9, 2016 Seems too cheap for such a car... Shame chassis no. is given as L24 155412. No vents in 1/4 panel, wonder if it is indeed a 71? Or a 70. Quote

datoman Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I don't suppose anyone in SA knows where this car is? http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/adelaide-cbd/cars-vans-utes/1976-datsun-240k-coupe/1109336497 I don't have an issue with a spotters fee, but when you don't know the person how are you to know you're buying reliable info? Roof is damaged badly! the rest of the photos tell the story... gav240z 1 Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted April 14, 2016 Author Administrators Posted April 14, 2016 The ad says wanted, but I think it may have just been placed in the wrong category as the description leads me to believe it's for sale. Datsun 260z $12,000.00 http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/botany/cars-vans-utes/datsun-260z/1110096508 I love the Good Year tyres on it also (although maybe it's a bit large!), wish I got a set for my 72 240z. 10 months rego. Auto. New tyres, radiator, shocks, carpets, battery, new original interior. Solid car. Great condition. Call for more details. Interior condition looks amazing! Quote
dat240z Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Gee the 2+2's are appreciating in value nicely. blu260z 1 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted April 15, 2016 Author Administrators Posted April 15, 2016 $12k seems cheap to me. For a 40 year old car in relatively good shape like that. When new the 2+2s were more expensive and a lot of Australian buyers didn't want a 2 seater and preferred the 2+2 for the extra room and passenger carrying ability. They were also bought by middle to upper income types. Seems fitting their values would go up. Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted April 15, 2016 Moderators Posted April 15, 2016 I agree $12k seems a bit low, that interior is very good (if you can live with brown) and the body also looks OK. As always I wonder what is under the paint. Should sell quickly Quote
